James, Your symptoms may be an indication that your mattress model choice is too firm. Likely, the blood doesn't flow to your arms or legs because of pressure on either your shoulders, sides, hips or heels. Once the blood is no longer flowing, your extremities tend to get cold feeling due to lack of blood flow because it is restricted at the point of pressure. When you select a mattress model, you will want to lay on your back and make sure it supports you, then roll over to your side and determine if you feel pressure or the mattress provides weightlessness. Weightlessness, or floating as some people call it, is ideal for your muscles and many say help circulation. We talk to consumers who mistake "pressure" for "support" and so they buy too firm of mattress. You may want to try a topper for your mattress or if your mattress retailer allows it exchange it for a model that is not as firm. Be sure to spend plenty of time in the store (30-60 minutes) laying on models so you can find one that is ideal. We make models that are firm, medium, plush, and extra plush. Kurt Ling President
