I feel like the edges are still too soft. I think the overall bad is a little softer than what I was hoping for. I most likely would buy a more traditional bed if I was to get another one

Can you please send me photos of the tags on your bed? To Joe [at] NestBedding [dot] com. I want to see if it is a potential defect, as our Hybrid has superior edge support. Also, a "traditional" mattress is a coil base with foam over it, and that is what a Hybrid is, only it's a better quality foam than cheaper quality coil beds, so there really is no construction difference from this bed to regular coil bed.

We actually did get a replacement as the first one was definitely too soft. We sent pics and it was one of the defective beds. We have this mattress now and feel that even though the sides of the bed are a bit stronger they still have more give than what we are traditionally used to. Also do feel that my hip starts to hurt more than it did with our old bed. I am a side sleeper and after a bit of time I do need to turn to back as the hip starts to hurt. We have only had this one for 2 months but I will say that the Customer Service has been very helpful with response. I can still get pics for you if you want. Will be out of town until Monday. Thanks so much.

Please do when you get a chance. And just to cover all the bases, can you send me a photo of what you have the bed on?

I have the pictures of the mattress and box spring. Where should I send them and to who's attention?

Hi Karly, As I kind of already suspected, the base is an older style box spring. See the one photo you send that shows the grey fabric? See the wires indenting the fabric? The box "spring" is actually a wire spring base, that flexes the more weight you put on the bed. Great for the old style wire tied mattresses, not good for pocketed coil or foam bed, basically modern style mattresses. We go into this in detail on our returns page and our explainer video. The good news is that once you replace the flexible base, the bed won't sink as much, firming up the bed and allowing the bed to support the way I designed it.

Well that's odd. So what kind of base are you saying we need? This is frustrating as we would have just gotten our other mattress that works on the base.

Karly, it stands to reason that if you put your mattress on a base that is flexible, the mattress will flex. All major companies now sell box foundations that don't give, I am sorry you missed it on our site but the only foundation we sell does not give, and we are careful to point to several places on our website where we try to help people understand that you need a supportive, breathable base. If you google "mattress foundation" you will find most every company is offering a foundation that does not have springs in it. The kind you have does, and that is making the bed soft. Here is the link to ours we sell as well. https://www.nestbedding.com/products/sturdy-folding-metal-foundation-box-spring?variant=874981525 Again, I am very sorry you missed this information on our site and that it has been affecting your sleep. If you decide to get ours, order it online and I will immediately refund you 25% for the misunderstanding.

That sounds good Joe. Is there any way you can call my husband 602-722-7300 and explain how it all works? We have a bed frame that the old box spring fits on making it tall like we want. Does this work with our frame? If you can call him he is available now. Thanks so much.

You would simply replace the existing box spring with the new foundation. I am actually flying right now, but can have my staff reach out.

Ok that sounds perfect. Any more wiggle room in the price? My husband is making me crazy!
