I purchased a queen-size mattress in October 2022, along with a bed frame and mattress protector from Layla Sleep, for a total of more than $1,150. Less than four years later, the mattress has developed two large bulges, making it unusable. The mattress was moved only once, from a condo to our current home. It has never been abused, folded, or subjected to anything that would reasonably cause this type of damage. There are no cuts, tears, or signs of damage to the exterior cover where the internal foam has bulged. My 29-year-old daughter, who sleeps on this mattress, has been complaining of worsening back pain over the past several months, and we now have no choice but to replace the mattress. We submitted a warranty claim through Layla Sleep, but were told the damage did not meet the warranty requirements. I find that extremely disappointing. If a company selling products at this price point refuses to stand behind its mattress because of fine print in the warranty, and won't even send someone to inspect the mattress in person instead of relying solely on photographs, that says a lot about how it treats its customers after the sale. Layla offered either a mattress topper or a $400 store credit. But why would I want to purchase another $1,000+ mattress from a company that wouldn't stand behind the one I already bought? I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before purchasing from this company. I certainly won't be buying from Layla Sleep again.
