Body Dent Confirmed, Warranty Claim Denied

This review is specifically about the discontinued King Koil Natural Orchid PL TL, model 14209-1050, purchased from Macy’s in 2023. I’m posting it here because I can no longer find a page for my exact mattress. I spent months—nearly years—researching mattresses because I wanted something natural, healthy, safe, and built to last. The Natural Orchid felt wonderful at first, but that comfort did not hold up. The area where I sleep has broken down and developed a noticeable body impression. When I lie down, the mattress collapses even further, leaving me trapped in a depression and struggling to change positions. It may look relatively normal when empty, but it no longer provides proper support during actual use. An inspector confirmed a three-quarter-inch indentation, but King Koil denied my warranty claim because it falls a quarter-inch short of their required measurement. So the dent is real and documented, but I’m apparently expected to keep sleeping on an uncomfortable, deteriorating mattress because it is still considered “within specification.” That may satisfy a technical warranty requirement, but it does not represent acceptable quality or meaningful customer care. Buyers should know that these mattresses may feel great when new but can break down within a few years—and King Koil may refuse to help unless the visible indentation reaches one exact number. I’m extremely disappointed and would not purchase another King Koil mattress.
