We were looking for a high quality bed and this appeared to be the answer. We tried out several beds repeatedly until we were satisfied that this was the one. Very pricey and no returns or trials. We got the bed delivered and then we found that the softness of the bed on the showroom was extremely different from the one delivered. The first week with a light comforter, we sweated like marathon runners in a 25K. We called the Bedding Plus company and we worked through all possibilites; however, the problem still existed. Contact attempts to the manufacturer proved fruitless repeatedly except an email that told us to get a light spread for the bed if we were hot! Here it is 3 months later, we now have changed everything and still sweating to death at night with disturbed sleep. DO NOT BUY THIS BED! I contacted the company and told them before I wrote on any blogs, they could work with me on this $3000 plus cost for mattress and box springs. Sure wish I had went with a cheap mattress. At least I could have trashed it and got another set, but for now I am stuck with a king size sweat box. Note: energy bill went up too. Freeze one side of your body and sweat out the other!

Last August 11th I helped my elderly aunt buy three Airsprung Brighton beds in Miami at a local mattress store, Mattress1 One. The bed they had on the floor was really good and firm. I do not live in Miami and so wasn't there when they delivered the beds on the later part of August, however, I just came back from visiting her. The beds are soft and already out of shape with her queen size one dented in the middle. I called the mattress store and was told that the Airsprung company went out of business last year. Finally after speaking with the manager was told to select other mattresses of equal value. At the time of purchase I was not told the company was going out of business (maybe that is why we received such a good deal?). Did Airsprung really go out of business?
Hello -- Just to address your question here, it is indeed true that International Bedding (the company that previously made and distributed beds under the Airsprung name in the U.S.) did go out of business -- they discontinued operations in January 2012. Their financial difficulties were not made public very far in advance of this date, so it is quite possible that the store had no idea that this was even a possibility when you were sold the bed in August 2011.
I read these comments and thought this may have been one off situations so I bought this bed. Same issues, this is like sleeping on a heating pad without having to plug it in. The beds latex apparently reciprocates body heat causing one to sweat. Great if your trying to lose weight, bad if your trying to sleep.
A very interesting review but as always there are two sides to every story.
