Back Killer

My wife and I bought it from a small shop, it was the most expensive one in there at around $700. It was weird that as soon as we walked in, the sales guy tried to sell us only the cheapest bed. We ended up trying his most expensive which was this "Serta" brand (but we did not know it was actually the Five Star subsidiary company until we received it). It was great at first (like most beds I suppose). We ordered it, waited a week for the manufacturer to build it, and then delivered to us. It had the Serta pamphlet but nothing more, everything on the bed says Five Star Mattress which I later found out is the value line for Serta. Anyway, after 6-8 months this bed had totally sunk in the center and is very uncomfortable, I mostly wake up with lower back pains. Usually in the middle of the night I would wake up and sleep without a pillow because the bed is so sunk that you would not need a pillow. We are again bed shopping now and will never look at value crap beds again. I've own this bed for 2 years now and it's time for it to go.

Pros:

User also said: Built brand new for us. Soft fabric. That's it.

    Cons:

User also said: Center sinks in after 6-8 months. Foam encasing does not but makes it worst. Squeaky springs after a year.

Why did you not go back to the place you bought it? It should have at least a five year warranty. That is if you bought the set, had proper support under the set, and no stains on the mattress.

Because we found out that the place that we bought from moves every 3 months and changes the name of the store so it would be hard to claim warranty from the store and manufacturer. And if you read the fine print on the warranty, it says the bed has to dip in at least 6 to 12 inches with no weight on. Piece of crap beds makes the most profit for the sellers and it's the most difficult to claim warranty on. We finally went out and bought a quality name brand and more expensive mattress and is still serving us well for almost a year now. No more back pain! You get what you paid for.

I recently came across this review. I own a mattress store and for future reference, the warranty goes through the manufacturer on almost all mattress brands, so you would just need to keep the original bill of sale and contact the manufacturer. All the info is located on the mattress tag on the head of the mattress. Also, a warranty claim on a "sag" is categorized by any body impression more than 2" deep. I'm not sure where you read 6-12", but that's not true. You should also make sure to always get a mattress protector because any stain on a mattress will void the warranty. I hope this helps for future reference.
