My second Savvta mattress. The soft plush did not have any odor but was way too soft. Now have the luxury firm which arrived four days ago. Only problem is the lasting, toxic chemical smell in the top part of mattress. Very toxic and can’t get rid of the smell. Even my dog smells like from it. This isn’t suppose to happen with this brand. I’ve never experienced this even with straight memory foam mattresses. Hoping the replacement doesn’t have the same problem! Stuck with it and it’s health effects for a few weeks.

Ugh! I am experiencing the same thing. The weird thing is that my husband doesn't even notice the smell. But it smells awful to me, I can smell it when I enter the room. I've been sleeping on the couch for the past week hoping the smell will go away.
We had the exact same problem with the smell. Saatva live chat person says their mattresses do not have a chemical smell at all and they do not use any chemicals. This is a blatant lie. Also we have only had this mattress less than a week and on my side of bed there is an indentation of over 1 1/2 Inches. My wife side is not so much . We did notice the indentation only slightly when it was delivered but thought nothing of it. What are your recommendations as to what we should do next.
Your mattress has a warranty. Up to you to exchange it with another or return it and buy a different brand. Make sure it’s in the window to return. My mattress is fine now. Think the smell was from the glue and being trapped in plastic. If it has an indentation already, it might be too soft or not properly made. It took three different manufacturers to get to this place.
Hi there -- Sharon offers some great advice here. If your mattress has a visible sag of 1.5", that sounds like a warranty defect issue. But it sounds like you're also well within your return window. So if you'd prefer to buy a different brand rather than getting a replacement of this mattress, that would be the better option. Sharon, I'm glad to hear that the smell issue you initially reported has gone away. How long did that take?
This company was very pleasant to work with. Really can’t remember exactly how long the odor lasted, but it did go away. Saatva sent a complementary set of sheets that are my absolute favorite!!!! Wish I had a second set. The mattress is so comfortable and supportive and I suffer from arthritis everywhere. I traded for the firmer mattress because the soft choice makes it difficult to get out of bed as you kind of sink in. Hey Saatva… would love a new set of sheets🙏😉
Thanks for sharing those added details Sharon! I'm very glad to hear it's all worked out well, and that their customer service was so responsive for you.
