Not Worth the Money I Paid

Now in my 60's with neck, back and hip discomforts, I wanted to invest in a good mattress that would aid in a better night's sleep and last for years to come. I did some research and chose the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Cassatt - medium feel pillowtop. It was quite comfortable for the first four months, but I noticed it began to sag. I would wake up in a slight hole making it difficult to get out of bed. The muscles in my arms and hips ached. I also bought the adjustable base, so I would switch back and forth from a slight incline on my back to a flat position on my side. Even sleeping on my back inclined, I was waking in a hole. Soon after, I began dreading bedtime. I woke several times a night, and my entire body ached every morning. After 2 years, I began sleeping either on the couch or the traditional spring mattress bed in the guestroom. Now 3.5 years later, I still haven't paid the mattress off, and I'm already looking for another mattress.

Felt good in store but give it 4 months

Bought this bed in a mattress store felt great for the 1st 9 weeks then even though I spin it every 4 weeks, it started to feel like I was crawling out of a hole! My hips hurt my lover back hurt ! I’m not the thinnest person but spending 3600 on a mattress and less than 3 yrs later I’m buying a new on and not a Cassie! I did stay with Sterns and Foster they are a great brand but extra firm Lux maybe that would be better! I purchased a warranty on the mattress it was useless no one did anything! I never bothered to contact Sterns and foster?

Good but Cassatt Plush Pillow Top might make you sleep hot

Lux Estate Cassatt Plush pillow top mattress feels a little foamy. Also this mattress isolates heat a little bit even though it has so many cooling features in it or at least that’s what the marketing department of Stearns and foster wants you to think like every other mattress manufacturer. Overall it is a good mattress and has good support. Another Interesting thing is, firmness of the mattress changes as a result of your body heat. Once you get into the bed it might feel like a medium soft and then after an hour, especially after bed absorbs your body heat it feels like really soft around the area of your body... so the mattress you'll lay down on the store will not be the softness level you'll be sleeping on... Especially after spending an hour or 2 on this bed with your comforter, all the layers of memory foam will warm up and get softer while you're sleeping on it each night. Perhaps Stearns and foster foams are really temperature sensitive. Also another heads up I'd like to give is about break in period... Perhaps it's New Jersey's cold winter weather but if you buy your mattress in the middle of the winter like I did. Most probably it will feel like much firmer than how it feels after a couple months(yes not weeks I said Months) ... It took a solid 1 month to soften up. So give yourself a couple of weeks to get used to. My review is definitely not a part of a promotion program. I paid 3k for a queen plush pillow top and that's not including the box spring and a protective cover. I did not receive the mattress with a discount or something like that for my review. 99% of the reviews that you read on mattress websites are a part of the promotion or advertisement campaign. I went to Raymond and Flanigan… let myself to the hands of Salesman for the hope of a goodnight sleep. Follow Goodbed Mike because he has a great way of explaining everything and has honest advices in all of his reviews.
