Run! Do not buy it!

Mattress malfunctioned since day 1. I contacted the store twice by showing up to speak to the salespeople. I took their advice and tried to correct the situation. It didn’t work. The bed would inflate and slowly deflate during the night. The controller would bounce back and forth with the number setting. I finally got sick of having the bed and told them to come and get it. The worst part was I paid $199 to have it delivered and they are trying to charge me the same amount to pickup up their malfunctioning bed. Read the fine print! Highly disappointed.

Worst buy I've ever made

Over the past week I’ve slept less than i ever have. Mid back pain is unbearable. Tried every setting from 30-100. Mattress also sleeps hotter than even tempurpedic which i did not think was possible. I’ve never had mid back pain issues before so this has surprised me. I’ve suffered from low back pain for a while but that has not been an issue on the mattress. The only saving grace is that i found I sleep pretty well on the couch where I have had to move to every night.

Dream Bed!

My wife and I have slept on a traditional Queen bed for 28 years before moving to the iLE Sleep Number mattress. I am a little on the heavier side, and am a very hot sleeper. I also have historically tossed and turned all night long, never really getting a decent night's sleep. After getting the iLE, the first several weeks were dream-like.. I was sleeping better (my wife historically sleeps great on any of the mattresses we've owned) and it did not hold the heat in like any of my past mattresses, so I don't wake up all sweaty. After 2+ years, I am a solid believer in this mattress.. I don't wake up with back pain, and due to the tech features, I know what my sleeping patterns are, and I am a very happy customer!

I am in the trying out period.

The first night was great. By the second day I have mixed feelings hanging out on the bed, laying down watching TV. Maybe is too soon to write a review. Today looking for another bed in case this one doesn’t work out. 100 day try out. It’s vey bouncy. Waiting for pillows. My neck hurts and has nothing to do with the bed. I might have made the mistake to get a full size with double chambers. A salesperson recommended doing this even for myself. But it feels like it might sink in the middle separating the chambers. To set it to the right air pressure, I have to do one side at a time, which is time consuming and odd, even with the app. That could use some improvement by the company. Another salesperson said the opposite, to get a one chamber if it is to be use for one person only. Would update if I decide to keep it or my opinion changes. Still getting use to it. Salesperson said it will get better. It felt softer at the store. This mattress will save electricity during the summer. It doesn’t get hot at all, unlike temperpedic, using the same cooling mattress cover. The construction looks unprofessional, but is an air mattress after all. When setting the bed on the base, it looked like it was going to come apart. There is not that much holding the parts together, very odd, specially for a $5,000 mattress (I got it for 50% off).

Worst bed ever

Split top never stays together, I am always pulling my arm out of it. The mattress top is completely worn out and lumpy. The customer service is rude and unhelpful. Do not buy!

This one is just right!

Not sure what the negative reviews are for, this is an awesome product. We spent about two hours in the Sleep Number store and got to know all we could about the mattress before making this kind of investment. We settled on the iLE and are very happy that we did. We got the split head cal king and also the additional cooling pad as we live in the desert and summer nights tend to be really warm. We have never slept better together in our 28 years of marriage. We can both adjust our side to how we want it, some nights I it can be a little firmer or some nights maybe a little softer, the point is that we can adjust it to how we want it any night of the week. You cant do that with any other mattress, you get what you get, nothing changes. If you are going to invest in something like this then take the time to go to a Sleep Number store and experience the different styles and get to fully understand how they work. Their base models are very limited in what they can do and the toppers are not a plush at the Innovation line, but like anything you get what you pay for. Ignore the negatives (dont want to box it up to take it back? Get real lol) and try it for yourself. And like they state if after 30 days you do not like it they will take it back and exchange or refund your money. (not sure why some people did not do that to begin with instead of just writing horrible useless reviews and showing how lazy they are). Try it, you will like it!

Do NOT buy!

I did a lot of research on the type of bed I wanted I’ve always seen the commercials on tv and the bed with the advertised features just seems to be just so unbelievable ! Well it was too good to be true ! It’s all just over glorified words for AIR MATTRESS ! It’s a big air mattress. The comfort layer is memory foam that you can feel your fingers thru. The whole find your perfect number thing is a lie. It’s either 100 or 0 meaning full or empty of air ! If it’s 100 it’s super firm but still better than 0 and sleeping on the hard plastic frame of the bed. My husband and I are both ARMY vets. We both have different injuries and different needs for comfort so I thought that with this bed having a feature for “comfort level “ it would be perfect ! I was wrongggg if he goes too soft I roll to the middle of the bed and once I’m in the middle of the bed it rips him onto me ! We are miserable in this bed I’d never tell anyone to spend money on it we are STUCK with it because it was a nightmare to assemble much less take it apart cram the giant sack the airmatress sits in back into a box. It’s been 2 years almost to the day since we bought it, it cost an arm and a leg and it’s just the worst decision. If there’s anyone out there that reads this and gets something out of it I’ll feel better. Also the lady at the store tried to get me to buy sheets when I bought the bed the sheets were crazy expensive and I know why ! Because no other freaking sheet will stay on ! Every morning because of all the tossing and turning and the slowly sliding to the bed of this bed it pulls the corners off so if you love making your bed go ahead save some money buy your sheets a reg store you’ll have a ball, if you hate waking up to seeing your corners pulled off then get ready to spend more on sheets than your electric bill or cable bill and buy them from sleep number. Ughhhhh finally got to say how much I hate this bed.

Don't get a sleep number bed!

We bought the split top king iLE with adjustable base for 8K. It was delivered (team spoke little English & made my home smell of smoke & BO). They could not get the base to work. I could not understand the delivery guys, he handed me a phone with a manager who explained they would unplug the power to the base, but mattress would work. They would replace it. Another day off of work for another delivery. I could understand the 2nd team, and they were professional. However, they were confused - seems no one communicated to them they were swapping out a base. I had to catch them up. They had to make some calls to figure out what was what, then assembled our bed, got it to work. As we slept a few weeks on the split top, we realized the gap was pulling wider and wider and there was a big space down the middle of the bed and our dogs would fall through - we called to swap out the bed for the full king (no split at top). This voids the 100 day trial when the new bed arrives. So another day off of work for the new mattress to get here - the team is another bad experience - smell of smoke & BO; cannot speak any English. They put the bed together and leave. I notice later when putting on sheets the cover that zips on the sleep number bed is ripped in 2 places - it wasn't sewn together at the factory - we take pictures and call our sales guy. We really can't take a 4th day off of work to deal with this bed. So, we agree to have them ship to us a new zip on cover - they say we can watch youtube videos on how to install it. Personally, I think they should make a weekend available to come take care of this as we paid 8K! cover arrives and I go to put it on - wrong size was sent - it made a big gap at end of zipper about 3 or 4 inches. i think it's a CA King. I'm done - ship back this cover and put on my ripped one and i'll sew it up myself. Enough time spent on this bed and days off. Advice - don't buy a sleep number bed - lots of headache. I miss my tempurpedic - it was better quality. Wish I could return this but i'm stuck
