    Oxymoronic firmness

    My wife likes a "softer" mattress and felt our previous mattress was too firm; I like a firmer mattress and felt our previous mattress was too soft. It doesn't make much sense, but, my wife feels that this mattress is softer; yet I feel that this mattress is firmer - and both of us love it!

    The mattress is better than some I have had, however, I had studied this one for a long time and I was really hoping that it would have been a little more firm. I purchased this mattress to help combat my pain with sciatica, but it has not really accomplished that and I still have pain.

    Thank you for your review, though we are sorry to hear of your discomfort. Please take a look at the base that you are using. If it is a foundation, box spring, or slat system that flexes, your mattress will feel softer than it should. The easiest way to test this is to either tip the mattress up and off of the frame and walk on the base to see if it moves. Alternatively, one person can lay on the mattress while the other looks underneath to inspect any bowing. If you are using a platform bed, make sure that the support beams are approximately 2" wide, spaced no more than 3" apart and there is appropriate centre support. Thin slats or widely spaced ones may not be supportive enough. If you really want to rule the base out, test the mattress directly on the floor (space permitting).

    Not as great as I'd hoped

    It feels very nice, but unfortunately, it does not help as much as I'd hoped with motion transfer and I can still feel most of my husband's movements. Good overall support, however.

    I love this mattress.

    My husband & I love this mattress & will NEVER go back to the other brands (Serta etc). This a solid mattress that conforms to your body & provides amazing comfort & support. When we need a new mattress, we will be purchasing another DOUGLAS. Thank you for the makers of Douglas mattress for designing & making an amazing mattress. Sleep never felt so good.

    I love the mattress but my wife notices back pain regular...

    Best bed I've ever owned!

    Before I bought this mattress I had shoulder pain every day (I "just got use to it") Since I started sleeping on this bed, I no longer suffer the constant pain and am reconsidering having the recommended surgery! I recommend this bed to everyone!!!

    Love it!

    I have tried so many types of beds in the last 20 years - I wake up almost everyday without the pain I used to wake up with - I would be crippled in the mornings and this bed has really helped be start my day in a much more comfortable way - I just love it and recommend it to all my friends who are looking for something much more comfortable!
