I have been holding off on writing a review because I wanted to sleep on my new bed for longer than a month so that I could give honest feedback. I purchased my BedInABox - PacBed Original Gel Mattress - 11" deep in April 2015. Here is my feedback:
Negatives:
- It took a little while to adjust to. I have always slept on box spring mattresses, but the one we had was really beginning to hurt my hips and shoulders. After tons of research about mattresses to relieve hip and shoulder pain, I decided to get a foam mattress. And after more research, I settled on a BedInABox mattress (sleeplikethedead.com is a great resource). For the first couple of weeks, I had lower back pain when I would wake up. It was nothing that would wake me up like my hip and shoulder pain did when I had the box spring, but getting out of bed hurt! So much so, that I almost returned the mattress. I am glad that I held off on the return because this is the only negative thing I have to say about it - my body took a little while to adjust to a different type of mattress.
Positives:
- Delivered the next day. Seriously. I was surprised when I received the delivery notice in my email stating that it would be arriving the next day. It was packaged in a box a little smaller than a refrigerator box. I was able to move it inside, unpackage it, and set it up all by myself (as my hubby was still at work).
- There was no smell to the bed and we slept on it the night we received it
- It used to take me around an hour to fall asleep after multiple attempts to get comfortable and readjust and readjust. I now fall asleep within the minutes of laying down.
- I sleep all the through the night now. As stated above, the pain in my hips and shoulders would wake me up multiple times during the night. Without this pain, I now sleep all night long. It's amazing the difference a good night's rest can make.
- Cheaper than "the other brand"
- I was worried about it being "hotter" than a standard mattress, but haven't found that the case. I still sleep with a sheet and

My previous bed was a $3,000 Dr. Scholls technogel foam mattress. Compared to this bed, it was absolutely terrible. It was too firm (despite feeling comfortable in the store), too tall, and all around uncomfortable. Now I have a BedInABox PacBed Original Gel on top of their suggested wooden frame and I've never slept so well in my life. Every time I lay on the bed I get sleepy, which is exactly what I want. 10x the comfort at half the price is pretty hard to beat if you ask me.

We love our memory foam mattress. No pressure points and no more back pain. Highly recommended for the price. No need to spend $2000.00 plus dollars when, you can almost have the same comfort for $800.00. We ordered the additional foam for the 11 inch mattress and haven't looked back since. Needless to say, we have been sleeping in heaven for over a month now. We did extensive research and read countless reviews prior to our purchase. I highly recommend "BedInABox". I have only had this Mattress a week now and it has done wonders for my Body. I have never had a Memory Foam Mattress until now.
The Mattress had no odor when opened and it felt very firm when I slept on it that night. I hope that it will soften up a little over time.
I went to Ashley store and tried out the side and back test on all of the Tempur-Pedic Mattresses. You can feel their Mattresses take you in with that sinking feeling, until it conforms to your Body. The Pac-Bed does not have that.
The sleep result is very good for now, I just need to find some Pillows that will work with the Bed. The ones I have now are making the Neck sore.
For the Price/Warranty, I don't think that you can go wrong with buying a Mattress from Bed in a Box. I would say go for it, if you don't like it, send it back. That is the best part and if you ask Ashley about returning a 3k mattress, good luck, well that is what the guy said to me.

Stop your exhaustive research about which memory foam bed to buy, and choose this one from BedInABox.com. My husband and I did our research and found that this bed was offered at roughly a third of the price as its competition for an equivalent quality mattress, foundation and frame. Delivery was quick, and my husband had no problem assembling the foundation and bed frame. You will be happy with your decision!
I did a lot of research before buying a bed, and I am glad I did. I chose to buy the 11" memory foam mattress from BedinABox along with the foundation and bed frame. All were shipped quickly, and the overall cost was about a third as much as their competitors. I am very happy with my decision, the quality of the items ordered, and the commitment of BedinABox to customer satisfaction. Now, one of the best parts of my day is going to sleep at night. I will definitely purchase again from them in the future.
We have spent a long time researching the market of mattresses before deciding getting our bedinabox, and we are really happy! We made the right decision.
