select comfort predates the select number mattress
I have owned my select comfort for several years, I modified my water bed frame for it ( shortened the plywood base length, and drilled holes at the head for the air lines), after my water bed failed.
the people at select comfort are verry helpful, and stand behind their product, even 18 years later. now that my legacy model, has started to leak air, they sold me replacement parts, including a new cover, to rebuild it.(minus the warranty depreciation).
I see now, they are now offering a select number mattress as a direct waterbed replacement.
that was not an option 18 years ago.
but I am still verry happy with choosing my select comfort, it is the closest I've gotten to sleeping on water. plus, on the nights when I want a softer mattress, I can just let out some air, or add some for a firmer mattress
The worst bed ever! never had back pain until this bed!
Paid $2499.
The day we recieved the bed we were so happy... 30 days in we were in pain. Not just discomfort.. I m talking numb legs, middle of the back pain, shoulder discomfort, I can go on and on. After calling custiomer support they sent us foam pieces to put inbetween the topper and the air chamber. that worked for about 1 month. Then they sent us foam pieces to put under the air chambers.. not any better. So the last draw for us was the foam they sent for the third time.. 3" foam to replace two 11/2" foam?? stupid. They drug us through the ringer for almost a year until we could not take it anymore. I packed it up in boxes at 2am one night ( I really wanted to burn it!) and call the next morning and demanded a retrun or a repalcement. Well since it had been a year they would not replace it with out us purchasing another..?? So we returned it and lost $1000. for shipping and a 30% restocking fee.. This is the worst experiance ever!!
