Should Be Christened The Back-Breaker
While I have been dealing with back issues since college, after having suffered an injury on my school's rowing team that has since contributed to the gradual deterioration of a couple of discs in my lower back, I have managed many comfortable nights of sleep in the 20 years since graduation. More to the point, I have been able to get out of bed without wincing in pain.
After roughly 3 months of owning this newly purchased king size mattress, I cannot say the same. It started out fine. I'd read reviews that suggested the mattress was adequate for those who suffered from back pain & that it provided sufficient support. The mattress is comfortable enough temperature-wise, even now that summer has arrived & after the addition of a mattress protector.
However, now that I've had it for just a few short months, whatever comfort I may have enjoyed during the initial weeks of its use has now seemingly vanished. Every morning, when I rise from my bed, I feel an immediate stab of pain in my lower back & those first few steps are a frustrating struggle. The pain eventually does pass, but its root cause is clearly this mattress & I'd advise anyone with similar back issues to go another route.
