Great Mattress at First. Looses It's Edge, Quickly.

For one there is no edge support on this mattress. I kind of knew that going in, I thought all of the stiff foam was concentrated in the middle and they kind of skimped out on the edges. This is marketed as a extra firm mattress so I thought it would stay that way, but the middle has quickly sunken in to the point that I make a concerted effort to sleep in the small space between the sunken middle and the nonexistent edges. That gives me about a foot of real estate, and I always wake up in the middle. This mattress also sleeps very hot, which is rough in the summer.

Not happy should have returned it

The eternal problem with mattresses from anywhere is you just don't know how they are going to work until you sleep on them a while and most of the time that period of beyond the warranty. We took a chance on this bed based on all the good reviews and we feel like we have been in a car accident every single morning and it's miserable. We went from a sleep number bed to this and it wasn't a good move. So yet again, we've lost more money, aren't happy and still searching for a bed that is comfy for our particular needs.

Side sleeper put to the sideline again

There doesn't seem to be relief for those who only sleep on their side and this bed did not do as advertised. I went with the recommended bed and suffered via the pocket book and through increased back pain. My mistake was realizing this was only making things worse after the free period. It is hard to just toss such an expensive item but that is all it is good for.

Too Soft for Any and All Bed Activities

I ordered online trying to be hip, but my hips paid the price. This mattress, the average softness, is way too soft. I weigh 135 and if I try to sit up to read, I'm sitting in a four-inch hole. Not enough back support for sleeping. Not enough firmness for sex. I thought I would get used to it and was horrified that I spent $1000 on a mattress I didn't test first so I'm punishing myself by making myself keep this mattress for 20 years before I get another. In a fight, my spouse blurted out, "And another thing, that mattress you bought SUCKS!!" Agh.

Very comfortable with the topper added but unfortunately ...

Very comfortable with the topper added but unfortunately retains heat so I awaken several times per night to roll onto a cooler spot on the mattress.

So Worth the purchase

I was skeptic at these latest trendy mattresses, but after having slept in ours for the past 6 months it is clear how good this change was for us, night and day difference and so worth it.

Wish it were softer

I've had my Alexander mattress for almost two years now. I ordered the Queen Soft and was expecting a sink-in pillow-top feel, but alas, this mattress isn't at all like that. I wouldn't even call it moderately soft...it is relatively firm. I am light (135lbs) and have had wonderful nights on Beautyrest mattresses at hotels, so I might just get one later on. As of now, I just bought a feather bed to go on top of it and that has worked well.
