We really liked the comfort of this mattress when we first started sleeping on it. However, the top layers of foam and not secured to the outer side shell so after time they slip inside the shell and the sides bulge out and the edge is not stable. Since the company is out of business, don't be taken in by the claim of 10 year warranty. Buyer beware!!
I bought the Viola bed after much research. My previous bed was a top of the line Tempurpedic. After 10 years that bed needed to be replaced. I tried several beds and found that I liked the feel of latex much better than Memory Foam. The Viola is a hybrid bed with coils, latex and memory foam. What I like about it is that you sink a bit into the bed rather than sleep on top like the Tempurpedic. What I don't like about the bed is that it does not offer sufficient support in the hip area. If the manufacturer would use a denser foam/latex in the hip area the bed would be perfect.
The first mattress we bought from a store back almost 2 years ago was the worst decision of our marriage. On the flip side, I have to say the Voila Mattress has been one of the best decisions of our marriage. My wife and I purchased the Voila mattress back in December. We paid nearly $700 less for the Voila Mattress and it has already out lasted and outperformed our first mattress. I'm so glad we made this choice. It was a breeze to purchase, easy to track, and brain-dead simple to set up.
My wife and I have been traveling for a week or so now, and all we want to do is go back home and sleep on our bed!
I wasn't sure anything could be better than a latex mattress
I have to start by saying that I loved our previous mattress which was an a talalay latex mattress we purchased through Rocky Mountain Mattress, however my husband thought the mattress was slightly too soft and would wake up with lower back pain. So, I reluctantly agreed to get a new mattress. He wanted a mattress with inner springs for better support and I wanted a mattress with a performance top (latex or memory foam) for overall comfort. We decided to buy a "hybrid" mattress and eventually chose the Voila because it claimed to have everything we wanted... springs, latex, memory foam, edge support, and a price around $1000 for a King. We have had the mattress for 6 months and I can't believe I am writing this but I think I like it better than our latex mattress. My husband definitely does and has not complained of lower back soreness once since we made the switch.
