This review will be simple: we've owned the mattress for over 8 years now. Yes, it's time to replace it, but it still has some miles left. We're both plus-sized folks (I'm 6'1" and 400#), and this mattress has held up to me over this time period. It's been one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. It took some adjustment in the beginning, but after that period, there was no looking back. We put a decent mattress protector and pad on the bed to protect/cover it; consequently, the heat reflection that people keep talking about was never a factor for us. Great bed.

The mattress appears to be over a dozen years old in less than a month of use. I have an exchange program through trial period and will probably buy a Tempur Pedic.
Bought at Mattress Firm. Will have to pay 10% “restocking fee”. What does restocking mean for a used mattress??
Asked about warranty and was told I would have to pay for warranty inspection. Typical buccaneer capitalism.

I bought this bed when my back was broken (L5-S1) at the end of 2012 from Matress Firm. I have an adjustable base, which is the only thing I've used it with. The matress felt great, at first, but within 1 year, it began to give in the middle. It is supposed to be the "Air Cool Sleep System" but it is EXTREMELY HOT! I HATE sleeping with someone else in the bed, because I just roll into them. I am 5'2 about 130lbs, and it is OK- AT BEST to sleep on alone (I still wake up hurting and hot) but it is A-W-F-U-L with partner. It is WAY too soft, and it super sucks for intimacy (no response at all! I have to use pillows for support under my back/stomach). If I want to sleep some-what ok with a partner, we have to be on opposite edges of the bed, and DON'T EVEN THINK about touching me or it's instant sweats-ville. :-/ I am working on a warranty claim through Mattress Firm now. The warranty says Code: 0 (which is 25 year limited warranty, 15 year no-charge warranty, if greater than a .75" sag). I think I am right at that, so I may have to wait a little longer. Fingers crossed!

"If you like sleeping hot, this is your matteress"
When I first got this bed in 2012, it felt really comfortable. I guess it was the matte rests AirCool design, which has quit working.
After a year it started sleeping hot. Currently sleeping with a Chili Pad, which helped at first, but it to has sucummed to the heat as well.
The air cool design has got hotter and hotter.
Currently it gets hot in about 10 min; after having for 6 plus years. If I'm lucky I get 4 hours of sleep.
Currently looking for a new mattress.
Steering clear Simmons Beauty Rest.
At first i was very impressed with this mattress purchased from leon's at a very reasonable price . I don't spend to much time at home but when i am home, I mostly spend it in bed relaxing after 70 + hour work week. Not long after receiving it roughly 2-3 months there was wear patterns and even worse a big divot, crevice, crater what ever u would like to call it. no luck from simmons or leons and out almost 700 with taxes with in 5 months

The first day thought it was going to be just fine. After sleeping in the mattress for more than 1 night everything hurts. I wake up in sweats all the time and that with my fans running in my room. My partner and I are constantly tossing and turning never seem to get in to a deep sleep on this mattress. I really thought i had researched but i guess not because now I'm getting broken sleep every day.

I was able to sleep well on this mattress but my husband, an edge of the bed sleeper, caused the mattress edge to lock into a permanent decline. There is at least a two inch dip on his side of the bed. Also, whenever he moved, I got jostled around like I was in a pool with an Orca whale. Not surprising that this mattress was discontinued. Am buying a new one and will be glad to toss the Phenom to the curb.

We had an older version of the Simmons Comforpedic, which was purchased about 15 years ago. It is still in use, and is an excellent bed that maintained firmness. This one however, started out fine, but over the last several years has deteriorated to practically no support. I sink in about 8" at the hips, and can't even roll over anymore. However, when looking at the mattress it appears to be brand new - no lingering or visible sag. The foam comes back up fully, but again it's like sleeping in a whole. Very disappointed with warranty too, as even if there is a very slight stain on the surface of the mattress, the warranty is voided, - even if the mattress is considered defective.

I wonder if the present made mattress is the same as what I bought some years back. I absolutely love this mattress. It is the best I have
ever slept on in my life. Guests who have slept on it have given it
high ratings. I cannot imagine why it does not have a five star rating.
