We purchased this bed in February after my husband's cancer diagnosis. We have had problems with the comfort of the mattress, as well as the worst customer service we've ever experienced. We have received two replacements since the purchase. The original topper was hard as a rock, it took 3 weeks to get a new one. Now my husband's side of the mattress has a leak (in the air portion) and the bed doesn't hold air at all, so my husband wakes up on the number 5 setting (zero is the lowest setting. We have been trying to get, yet again, another replacement. There are only two people we are able to talk to and they are less than helpful. The request for the replacement mattress was nearly two weeks ago, and it still hasn't shipped. Upon asking how much longer it would take the replacement to come, I was told 7-10 more business days (that was 3 days ago, and still no shipment. I requested to speak to someone who could get it sooner, since my husband needs to get some sleep, while he's still fighting cancer, and have now gotten no response. These two representatives do not care about the well-being of other's, it took 3 weeks to get a replacement topper. Worst purchase Ever!! Stay away from Personal Comfort beds if you want sleep or actual customer service!
We compared this to a sleep number and were excited to pay so much less for it. We are beyond disappointed! We paid $1649 for an air mattress you can but at Walmart for $69! Its terrible and the company wont take the product back. They wont return calls, wont assist us at all so now we are stuck with a $1649 credit card debt and a new mattress in our garage. DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY!
Bought this prior to shoulder surgery (didn't want to sleep in a recliner). It has been 6 wks since surgery and I am healing at an advanced rate, which I believe is in part due to this wonderful bed. Immediately after my surgery I could adjust the head up and eat in bed. I didn't leave the bed for about 6 days. I sometimes suffer from restless leg syndrome (sciatica), but was not bothered by it despite all the bed confinement. Every part of this bed is adjustable from the head to toe, and firmness. I love the vibrating feature, which helps when my legs are tired from too much walking and it also helps get the swelling out of my ankles. My husband can have his side just the way he likes it and I have mine my way. Elevating the head a little has helped my GERD.
When compared to Sleep Number, we found the replaceability of parts and warranty to be superior. Combine that with better price and better quality, it's a no brainer. We bought the split king designer deluxe adjustable model with all the bells and whistles for what would have only been a mid-point model in Sleep Number. The Perfect Comfort company makes the medical/hospital beds used in the finest facilities. This is the cadillac of beds.
Every night we feel blessed when we lie down in our new bed. It is so comfortable, comforting, and soothing.
We also enjoy adjusting it for variations on sexual positions. This bed has changed our lives for the better!
