After 51 years of marriage and prior to our Natural Bed we could never agree on a mattress that worked for both our comfort needs
until we discovered the Natural Bed. It should probably be a required purchase during marriage counselling (only kidding.)
We are finally looking for a new mattress after 19 years on this one. It's warm and comfortable. No problems or leaks. I have hip and shoulder pain and my husband has back pain and this is much gentler on us than other beds we sleep on when travelling. We usually forgot to put the conditioner in and it didn't get too gassy. It is well baffled so there is not too much motion. It's just getting body impressions in some places now so it's definitely time to get a new one. I was pleased with the delivery of the bed and the company. I really enjoyed my Land & Sky waterbed and intend to buy another one unless Saatva lures me away with their organic memory foam beds!

I would never, ever do business with this company again. Our mattress is still under full warranty and over the past month, I can't seem to get anywhere with this firm. They have no intentions of honoring their warranty. They do not return telephone calls. They say one thing and do another. BUYER BEWARE!
I was in the waterbed industry years ago and have met the owner, Ron Larson,I have stayed near the bedding industry but have never gone away from flotation sleep. I have continued to recommend softside waterbeds and only Land and Sky.
That now will change. Recent problem was basically ignored and call backs were nonexistent.
I have owned a waterbed since 1977. This is the third mattress I have purchased meaning that the overall average mattress life has been about 12 years. The prior mattress that I purchased was a Naturalizer 100 in August 1988 for $69.95. That lasted until I wanted a firmer mattress in 2004 (16 years). At that time, I thought that I would purchase a top of the line mattress this time around - if a lower end mattress got about 14 years on average, I should expect a top of the line to get even better life. I was wrong. The Land and Sky 8500 ($649.95 discounted online to $359.95) lasted about half the life of the prior mattress - only 8 years, though it cost me five times the price. It failed at the seam of the air-jet release valve where it attached to the mattress. And that second valve was a selling point. Wrong - more seams means more places to fail. I would not by this again - I never used the second air-jet valve anyway. I burped the air the old fashioned way back out the water inlet. If the air-jet valve was not included I would still be using the mattress.
