I had no idea if this mattress was any good when it arrived. I love this mattress. My late husband and I shared it for 6 years, now I sleep alone and still love it.
I bought a new mattress, different brand, and I put it in the guest room. It's too soft. This is The Best Mattress Ever!
Other mattresses have been good..But I had no idea what I was missing, sleep wise. Till I purchased my Dormia. Best money I have ever spent on a home furnishing. Can litarally fall asleep in as little as 3/4 mins..YES, MINUTES! Wife is shocked I will be asleep by the time she has changed into her nightgown and come to bed. THANK YOU, DORMIA!!!
I’m mostly satisfied with this mattress. I had back surgery and purchased this mattress and immediately noticed a huge difference from my old traditional box spring mattress. My only complaint was it sleeps warm. Not cool at all for my body temperature.
We have owned this mattress for 10 years. We bought in in 2010. Compared it to a Tempurpedic and went with the Dormia for the price. Thought we did enough research. It was great up until about a year ago. We are now experiencing back & joint pain when we get up and we are noticing surface divots where we sleep. We were sold a 25 year warranty (10 yrs full, 15 prorated) recently found out that when we purchased this mattress 10 years ago, the company was already sold and then was bankrupt in Jan 2010 before the mattress was even purchased in March. I guess that's how The Dump gets ahold of their inventory and sells at such great prices. Overall we had a great mattress for this long. The average mattress lasts 7-10 years. I was hoping to get a few more years out of what was sold as a top of the line. This next mattress will be a tempurpedic.

I'm glad that these mattresses are no longer available to purchase. It was great at first, however about a year in started to develop body impressions, which have continued to degrade since. All four over $3,000! The company touted a 30 year warranty, however there is no way to claim it since they are gone. The body impressions are more than 2 inches deep when you are not laying on them, and feel more like 4" when you are. I like the bamboo cover, and it is silent (I can't remember if it is just foam or if it is also hybrid).

Dormia has gone out of business. But it certainly wasn't because of this mattress. It conforms to my body, soft but firm. It still feels like it did when I bought it at Metro Mattress in 2009. It is simple, no puffs, no pillow top no buttons which are all baloney anyway. There are other memory foam mattresses out there now much better pricing. GEt one.

anyone looking to purchase a quality mattress should investigate the reputation of the seller. we can`t be certain that a business will have our best interests as thier primary concern.i would like them to say that service is our most important product .you must protect yourselves where the warentees are concerned as you will see that they are not always honored and have some poor excuses not to correct defective merchandise.
I generally prefer a firm mattress, and the Dormia has provided me a solid foundation for about 8 years. I've slept on a Tempur-pedic before - and honestly, they are much better, higher quality memory foam - but I got my queen for around $900, so balancing affordability with performance is a key attribute. I've also moved with this mattress / box 4 times, so it's taken a beating and held up. All-in-all, while I might upgrade in a few years, at the time it was all I could afford and it has worked out very well.
