A Dream

I did a lot of online research to replace my very old Stearns and Foster mattress. I thought I wanted to try the memory foam mattresses that come in a box due to the low price point and good reviews. My research steered me toward a more traditional mattress for my body type and sleep style. I settled on a Winkbed. The reviews helped me decide on the softest version. The delivery company lost the 'base' but I asked them to deliver the mattress anyway. I put it on my old base and waited a week or two for the new base to arrive. I found the mattress to be excellent, but too soft for me. After waiting for the mandatory thirty day trial period to pass I paid $49 to swap out that mattress with the Luxury firm version. I experienced very little of the 'off gassing' I had read about. My first impression was that the mattress was a little too hard for me. I have now spent five months sleeping on this mattress and I can state very conclusively that it is by far the best, most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. It has 'broken in' nicely. There are no impressions on it from where I sleep. It is not too hard at all. It is silent. No sounds, no squeaks, not springs making noises, etc. It is crazy comfortable for activities that consenting adults sometimes participate in. I tend to sleep 'hot' but have not found this mattress to heat up on me. I sleep under a down comforter year 'round. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. It is more expensive than other 'box' mattresses, but far less than other luxury brands I've tried at traditional stores. Very, very happy customer.
