Unbelievable comfort & durability

We have had this bed for a very long time (15+yrs.). It has just now started a tiny drip at a seam, I'm guessing. It has a 24mil. liner so the small amt. of moisture is trapped in it. After 4 nights from the detection of the leak, after changing sheets, it is still firm & minor amt. of moisture. I have never had a more comfortable bed. The dual sides are adjustable by adding more or less water to the dual chambers yet it has a center soft wall that keeps the two cells separated. It is warm in winter & cool in the hot summer days. There is no bed that is as adjustable for temperature or support. I want to replace it with another Sterling Sleep system. We are considering a Sleep Number Bed due to the air vs water weight & possible leakage issue but I can't imagine sacrificing the comfort.

Bought a model 9256 in August 2015 - 4 months only. Now has a hole. Spoke to manufacturer - sorry not covered by our warranty. Hole is on the side of the bed that is not used. There are always 6 layers of padding/covers on the bed - yet this hole magically appeared! Was offered a FREE patch kit! I will never buy another Sterling Product as long as I live - and warn anybody reading this DO NOT BUY STERLING. Sometimes holes magically appear after 4 months and the manufacturer will only offer you a patch kit!

Official Response

First of all Jolene, Thank you very much for your great review. Sorry we didnt thank you after you posted it, but this is the first time we have seen it. In reguards to the Anonymous user... Mr. Smith, We are sorry to hear you are having a problem with a 9256 Mattress purchased from your dealer in Canada in August 2015. As you know our warranty covers labor and material related defects like seam failure for 20 years, excludes customer damage, and only covers pin hole leaks if reported during the first 90 days. I’m told your dealer offered a deep discount on a replacement mattress, advice and a free patch kit, and explained how to file a warranty claim with the factory if you preferred. As a follow up your phone call to us at the factory, if you wish to place a warranty claim you need to send us the mattresses. If you think the problem is something besides customer damage or a pin hole, carefully circle the defect with a ball point pen and send the mattress along with proof of purchase freight prepaid to us. After examination we will determine if the problem is covered by the warranty and will repair or replace your mattress if the problem is covered by warranty. Based on the information you provided to us it sounds like a pin hole leak that could be repaired with a dab of adhesive and a small patch, which you can do yourself, or we can do for you if you return the mattress.
