My husband and I spent $2800 on a luxury (pillow top) firm mattress and box-springs after spending 25 min the first time then over 40 min lying in the bed in the showroom. The stitching is beautiful the materials look like quality on the outside with easy hold handles all around. They had a 90-day guarantee so we used it for over 60 days before we felt that the pillow-top was probably to soft and the shipping crease defect in the upper 1/3 was a problem. So we traded it in for the lux firm which is the next model down and did not complain considering the price of the lower model was $2000 that day. We were then told by American Signature if we had a problem with this new mattress it would be our problem, not theirs. Well, sad to say, after 3 months it is our problem. Immediately, we were no happier than the bed prior. This one was firmer but still falls in the middle. When we initially lie down it is very comfortable - just the bed we are looking for. After 5 hours it sinks to the point where sleeping more is a painful experience. Sometimes stuffing a pillow under my side (since I am a side sleeper) helps but then it feels too bulky. The same is true for my husband who is a back sleeper. This expensive bed is barely marginally better than the cheap beds we have purchased. It is certainly not worth the expense we paid. We are sleeping in the guest bedroom now until we find a new mattress.
