I had long considered Stearns & Foster a reputable brand. That perception changed dramatically when I attempted to purchase a mattress from them in August 2025. After placing my order online, I received no confirmation, no follow-up, and no communication of any kind for over three weeks—not a single email, phone call, or text. On September 4, I canceled the order and was assured that my refund would be processed within 7–10 business days. As of October 10, despite calling Stearns & Foster every 10 days and receiving multiple emails confirming that my refund was “approved” and “on its way,” I still have not received it. This issue has been escalated to supervisors who offered profuse apologies and promised personal resolution—yet nothing has changed. I’ve been repeatedly misled and strung along with empty assurances and recycled timelines. Stearns & Foster’s handling of this situation has been nothing short of appalling. Their customer service practices suggest either gross incompetence or deliberate neglect. I will never purchase from this company again and strongly urge others to reconsider doing business with them. It appears they rely on the long intervals between mattress purchases and the short memory of consumers to avoid accountability. Based on this experience, they are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in terms of refund processing for a product I never even received. If they go out of business, it will be richly deserved.
