Do I buy another mattress after 15 years?!?

Here I am thinking about buying a new mattress. Why? I really don't know but my mattress is 15+ years old. BUT, I love my mattress! It is a Simmons Cal King Roselle. I turn it once a week and I don't think I've missed a week in 15 years! Could that be the reasdon I don't need a new mattress? I don't know but I'd like to think it is. The new one I'm looking at is $5K! So, I'm thinking if I love my mattress, why buy a new one? Even if it is 15 years old. BOTTOM LINE, this Simmons Roselle Cal King mattress is the best!!!

Pros:

  • Overall Durability
  • Flip-Ability
  • Long-Term Comfort

Hi Jeff -- Thanks for sharing your experience here. Always great to hear from someone who loves their mattress! It sounds like you are still getting great sleep with great spinal alignment and pressure relief, and that your mattress still meets all of your preferences and priorities from a comfort and feature standpoint. A new mattress can't offer anything better than perfection -- and if you choose the wrong one it could end up offering less. So FWIW, based on the information you've provided, I wouldn't give a second thought to buying a new mattress. Hope that's helpful.

So, you would stay with the 15 yr old mattress or move on and buy a new one? You wouldn’t give a second thought on purchasing or stay with what I have? Thx. JO

Hi Jeff -- Sorry my phrasing was ambiguous. My recommendation is to stick with your current mattress (and not think about replacing it) as long as it continues to offer you great sleep, proper spinal alignment, adequate pressure relief, sufficient comfort, as well as any other features that are important to you. I hope that's helpful!
