It blew out!

I normally recommend that you avoid this mattress, however it has been discontinued by Simmons. In my opinion it had a design defect as I experienced what has been called a "blow out". The side of the mattress had a large bulge and the top of the side above it was a valley. Simmons has agreed to replace it but I have to pay shipping. As this appears to be a design defect (many other "blow outs" reported for the NXG) Simmons should absorb the shipping cost. I even have to dispose of the defective mattress. It seems that a class action may be the answer.

Pros:

User also said: At first it was the most comfortable mattress that I ever slept on. That all changed in just 22 months.
  • Initial Comfort

Cons:

User also said: Mattress has been discontinued for True Energy line. I believe that the NXG was was defectively designed!

I brought this mattress 12 months ago and its already dipping. My husband is actually sleeping in the sofa and he has develop lower back problems since sleeping in this mattress. We called and demanded for warranty to respond but we were not lucky. After an inspector came and took a picture of the mattress, Simmons simply dined doing anything at all because they say the warranty only activates after 1.50 inch of collapse and our is 1.25 inc collapsed. I think having 1.50 its only a matter of few months cause it gets worst, but honestly we have to buy another mattress asap cause my husband cant sleep anymore. Indeed, a class would be action the appropriate vehicle since apparently there are so much claims that they are denying warranty claims.
