Mattress size is not correct!

I bought the iseries from Macy's in July. I was converting a queen size frame to a California king, so I had to measure the mattress. Cal. King is supposed to be 72x84. This measured 70x82. When they replaced it, again it was 70x82. When I contacted Serta, they told me it was impossible. They have quality control. Macy's replaced it again with no problem. Again wrong size. Sertas customer service was very rude. I spoke to several different people and they were all rude. To make a long story short, I have had 4 mattresses delivered- all we're 2 inches too short and 2 inches short on the width. I like the bed,but now I need to decide what to do.

I was told when they delivered my mattress that the King is bigger than the Cal King which is what I got. So I guess the King is 2 inches wider on each side but 2 inches shorter on length. I guess I learned something new. I always thought the Cal King was bigger.

Yes, the King should measure 76x80. The California King is 72x84. So the King is 4 inches shorter and the California is 4 inches less in width. Be sure to measure if you get the iserta. All 4 of mine didn't match the measurement on the tag

My king also does not measure 76x80. My husband and I just bought a sleigh bed and it looks so rediculous because there is a huge gap! We measured it and of course it was 74 by 77!. We also bought ours at Macys.

I just had my third I series King size delivered that is the wrong size as well - 74x78 like the previous commenters. We have a large storage bed and due to the gap you can see the slats. I'm very frustrated. Jc Penney is doing their best to fix this but it's Serta's fault, not theirs. It sucks because the mattress is sooooooo comfortable! I don't want to get a different one!

aaaah yes! i'm going through the same issue. I purchased a king simmons and put it on a pedestal bed frame and it looks horrible because the mattress is about 2 inches short all the way around. It's supposed to mearsure 76x80, and comes about 74x78. I've contacted the store and they came out, measure, and determined it to be short, but didn't replace it because the replacement they brought with them was short too!! So now i'm attempting to deal directly with Simmons who keeps saying it should be taken care of by The Mattress Factory. This seems to me like the manufacturers are trying to save some money by cutting of some of the material, or leaving out a row of springs...and the consumers are getting the short end because almost nobody actually measures their mattresses. I'm interested in the getting the news involved on this!
