Purchased around 2006 when it first was offered as alternative to spring mattresses. It's 2017 and the foam has soft places that no longer support. SpringFree was a great choice at the time, but it's life span is over. I think this is true for all foam mattresses. Ten years was a pretty good run for it.

This is the same bed we had and loved it. We are currently searching for a replacement and can't find anything that compares in comfort. Can you recommend anything to try?
I bought a NovaForm Deluxe Comfort Memory Foam Queen. This was offered by COSTCO, on their website. It was on sale at the time - $427.00 and the shipping was free. I have seen similar mattress offered on Amazon.com. This mattress arrives in a cube carton and is shrink wrapped. It's heavy! I paired it with the 5" base I saved from the Sealy Spring Free set and it was a perfect match. You must allow a few days for the mattress to fully "breath" and attain it's shape. I am very happy with the NovaForm, just firm enough, not as plush as the SpringFree Sealy, but that is fine with me. I did not detect any chemical smell from the foam, a complaint people have with some brands of memory foam mattresses. One could add an additional soft pad on top if you wanted more of a plush feel. For me, I don't feel it needed it. When I first lay down it feels firm and then the memory foam kind of adjusts to my shape. I have been having comfy night's sleep with no numbness in limbs, etc. I am a back sleeper mostly. According to the instructions that came with the mattress, it does not require a base, but I think most people place this type mattress on a platform frame.
