High hopes/low depressions

The reviews led us to hope for a quality, comfortable, reasonably priced mattress without the salesperson blather. Initial quality was very good. Comfortable, apparently well made unit. Delivery was messed up/damage but customer service $adjusted for us. Unfortunately the body depressions grew rapidly and became uncomfortable. We come in at 195 and 135 lbs. so no mitigating circumstances. Now my wife (the 135 lb.) complains of discomfort in the "gully". Even not so heavy areas as knees generate a good depression area. I submitted a review on the Saatva website but it was intercepted and not published. So here I am to advise the other side to all the great initial reviews.

We are very sorry and concerned as to this customer's comments about his Saatva. We spoke with the customer back in late February when he wrote his initial comments. We gave a partial refund and the customer posted a very positive review of the situation. However, at this point, we know this to be a defective mattress as the customer's description in this review speaks only of a rare time that a Saatva mattress is built defectively. We called the customer last week, left a message for him to return the call as our intention is to quickly remove the mattress and give the customer every nickel of the remaining monies he paid to Saatva. The customer has yet to contact us. We look forward to resolving this issue as fast as possible. Our apology to this customer for receiving what we now know to be a defective Saatva mattress.

Thank you Lon for posting. I am often skeptical of reviews on a companies website for that reason. I prefer unbiased websites and Consumer Reports.

I am a recent Saatva mattress customer and am very pleased with the comfort and quality of my new mattress. Hopefully we will not experience any of the problems you have encountered. From the above response, it seems that this company does everything in their power to make every customer happy with their purchase. My wife and I are very happy with the comfort and quality of this mattress and from the way it looks and feels it should satisfy us with comfortable sleep for years to come.

as most reviewers say, the customer service is outstanding. I had problems with delivery. from what I gather is because the company Saavta hires then hires someone else to deliver. There is no delivery standard that way. I returned my mattress because it was so uncomfortable. I could feel the springs and after a week there was a noticeable/visible dent.

Our Saatva has the same depressions after less than a year...I am back online looking for another green mattress because I am waking up in pain every morning. The depressions are deep enough to be seen from across the room!

After just one year on my king size plush Saatva, I could feel the springs move each time my spouse rolled over. Saatva offered to replace my mattress, free of charge. Hopefully no more issues... It is a pleasure to deal with a company like Saatva.

We purchased a Saatva firm. Problems after first year, Saatva replaced mattress no problem at all. This is the best treatment I have ever received on warranty issues in my 60yrs. You can't go wrong with Saatva. I sleep great every night, you should too. Thanks from Palm Bay, Fl

A friend and I are both in the market for new beds. I suspect I've read a hundred reviews on Saatva beds and the five star reviews are the overwhelming number. Buying a mattress is almost as bad as buying a car. But I'm practically sold on buying a Saatva in the new year. With their return policy, I don't see how I can go wrong; I certainly expect I can decide on its comfort, etc. during a 75 day trial!
