Short Term Delight Long Term Pot Hole

When we first got this mattress we were coming off an adjustable air bladder bed that we could not get support from and tired of the crack in the middle ....The Alexander was heaven. The mattress slept good, no odd smells, felt supportive and definately provided us a better nights sleep. All my wife noticed was it was a little warm (I was fine) but no motion transfer and a hands down improvement. Fast forward a year my wife a heavier active person and side sleeper was experiencing the "hammock" effect. The bed had developed a divot. Not visible when no one was in the bed but it was there when she tried to sleep. Six months further. and stacks of pillows added to attempt to compensate, back aches were daily for her and she was only able to stand the bed a maximum of 5 hours and I was fighting rolling down hill into her side of the bed. I am a man of normal weight sleep in all positions, and started to notice a slight deeper dip sink to my side support was failing. After an honest conversation we decided to dump the bed and find another. We didn't own it quite 2 years..... and due to how the warranty is written for "visible" issues we didn't bother to engage Nest for some type of reimbursement, our lives are too busy to mess with it, we just had it hauled off when the new arrived. If you factor in the duration we owned it divided by the money we spent for it ... we had an "okay" 1 year run on it for less than a hotel room once a month. But buyer beware if you are over 200 pounds you will not last in this bed over a year and not have issues.
