This is the third mattress. The Sleep Store replaced it twice. We went to 2 twin XLs instead of the King. Within weeks, the mattress sags and there is an indent where your body lays. This makes it uncomfortable to sleep. NOT what we expected for the money. I've written to King Koil and received no response.

I agree and I have also written the company many times
This sounds like a frame / foundation issue to me. Many customers (or sales staff) neglect to consider the foundation (box spring) that the mattress will be sitting on. If the foundation was not in good shape, the mattress will naturally conform to the surface it is lying on. I knew a person who bought an upper end King Koil and then bought an Amish built bed frame from another store. Within a day she was complaining that the mattress was defective, similar to this complaint. Upon further inspection it was noted that the mattress foundation only had three boards running across the width of the frame when there should be at least 11-12 boards. The Amish company she bought the frame should have known better... Also, King and Queen mattress frames all need a center support to eliminate the "hammocking" problem. Lastly, King Koil's BBB rating is very high. As a retailer of these products, I have never had a problem with customers getting a response from King Koil.
We bought the complete mattress and foundation set and a new frame as recommended by the store salesman. They are now out of business so I will contact King Koil directly. I have a feeling it has to do with the shop itself since we had problems with other mattresses we bought there but we were stuck getting replacements/"upgrades" through the same store. I should have gone through a national chain but thought the name of the mattress was a good one. Once I have their rep come and see I will post my experience. Our old mattress was a Serta purchased from Sterns and we had it for 13 years.
