Exchange/ return fees excessive

We wanted to purchase a product made in Michigan so we traveled 3 hours to Jonathan Stevens. About 5 years ago I slept on one of their mattresses at the Amway Grand and it was one of the most comfortable mattresses I had ever slept on. Fast forward to 2019 and that model was no longer available. We settled on the salespersons recommendation thinking this mattress would be as comfortable. It was like sleeping on the pavement. We were in so much pain we couldn't sleep, and knew right away this mattress had to be returned. I don't know how 20 min in a showroom could possible replicate night after night of sleeping, so BE SURE you want to keep the mattress because JS fees are steep, many, and pretty much outdated when compared to other mattress companies. There is the $99 exchange fee, and you can only exchange for another mattress once. In our case we had delivery fees of $79 each time(because we had traveled 3hrs to spend our money on Michigan products, we were outside their delivery zone). Not having confidence the next mattress would be any better, and knowing we were racking up fees, we decided to return the mattress and be done. For the privilege of using it for 7 days (it was that bad to sleep on) JS wanted to charge a 20% restocking fee!!! That was ridiculous and I was able to negotiate 15%. All in all it cost us $361 dollars for a 7 day trial from JS. Other mattress companies have 6 month and up to a year of NO CHARGE returns for any reason. We have since purchased, and are completely happy with our latex mattress which was $800 compared to the $2000 JS mattress.

Just wondering when someone will be coming out to Shelia Dykstras house to repair the lawn that your delivery men decided to drive on after raining for 2 day's it's getting close to mowing the lawns this happened about a month ago already
