Body impressions in less than 3 months

We bought this mattress in June 2011, in July, we rotated it and now we have an impression at the foot of the bed, obviously visible through all the bedding. My big concern is, what will it look like a year from now. I'm afraid to rotate again for rear it will get worse. When we purchased this bed we assumed we would be able to have a nice bed for a while. I had dreamed of a nice new bed with no sags in the middle(or anywhere else) now I'm afraid in a short time, it won't be any better than the one we had. $900.00is still a lot of money to us, especially when you feel you have wasted it. I did a lot of looking before we made this purchase, and was getting so confused by all the brands to choose from. I am mad at myself now for my choice.

ALL beds will get a body imprint within the first 6 months regardless of whether its an innerspring or foam. The key is that the imprint should never be more then a 1 1/2". Anyone who says that the bed will never get an imprint is not being truthful. The key is that the mattress should still be supportive and comfortable after the "plush" top has settled.

Our king bed had impressions right away on my husband's side so JS replaced it. The second was better but my husband's side still caves in. We can only rotate side to side so now there is a hump in the middle of the bed. I weigh 125 and he weighs 225 so who knew this would happen? I also shopped a long time and decided on reputation and local; I don't think research helps anymore.

We had same experience. Soon after purchase we began the rotation through all 4 positions (pillowtop on both sides) every 2-4 weeks trying to get a flatter surface. 20 yr warranty is a joke, lucky if you get 6 mo to a year.

I bought a Sealy from JC Penney. Same issue. warranty is a joke....they have you put the mattress on a hard surface, put a stick across the mattress and measure the depth of the "bowl". must be greater than 3.5" to qualify for any warranty help. What a racket! Going back to Jonathan Stevens, where we bought our first mattress.

We are having the same exact problem. We purchased our matress 7 months ago, but within a month we felt like we were sleeping in a hammock. We were told that all beds go through a "breaking in" process and that we should just keep rotating the mattress. I have rotated the mattress every 2 weeks a quarter turn, but we still get a ridge right in the middle of the bed. I hate this bed and feel like I have wasted $1400!

I too have purchased a Jonathan Stevens mattress that has formed an indentation in just one month's time. That was the reason I was replacing my 15 year old mattress - indentations had formed making it less comfortable. Indentations after 15 YEARS of use, not one month. For comparison, I have started sleeping on a mattress in a guest bedroom that is 30 YEARS OLD, more comfortable than my new one, and HAS NO INDENTATIONS. I want my money back. Something has gone very wrong with the mattress industry. Is this the reason there are no reviews posted on Jonathan Stevens website? Is anyone happy with their mattress?

We are looking to replace our 12 year old Jonathan Stevens mattress and stopped to look at the new ones. We have a double sided one now and thought about getting another but the salesperson said the single sided ones are just as sturdy and long lasting. From the comments here I am suspecting that the "pillow top" design is the reason for the dips and indentations. Our current one is not pillow top and from comments here and elsewhere, I will stay away from the pillow/plush tops. Very pleased with how well our current mattress still has firm, non sagging sides, the cover has upheld well, and the box spring will support our next mattress too! Will probably continue our search at J Stevens just because we know their quality, their prices competitive and salespeople are great.
