The sales assistant promoted this Diamond mattress over another Diamond mattress because it had twice as many springs, would be more supportive and would last longer. After about three months we began noticing body impressions and a ridge in the middle of the bed. We were both very disappointed and talked about seeking a warranty claim after 3 months but never got around to it. Four years later, my wife is demanding that we do something about the bed because we both wake up in pain. I can't spend more than 6 hours in bed before the pain is too great to sleep. When I get up in the morning, it takes a while before I can walk straight. My wife's leg develops a shooting pain in her leg that wakes her up. Sometimes my leg rolls off the bed with causes a lot of pain in my hip. Sometimes I lay up upon the middle ridge of the bed to keep from rolling off the edge. My wife is much smaller than me therefore it doesn't seem to be a function of my size. I'm 6'1"/300lb. I read the warranty. They do not honor warranty claims of a bed being uncomfortable or painful. They do not honor warranty claims for pillow top mattresses that develop body impressions 1 1/2" deep or less (as perceivable in a photo). The body impressions may not look greater than 1 1/2" deep into the pillow top but they feel much deeper than that in the bed itself. Looks like we just have to accept the loss and do better research next time.
