Just Wanted the Same Mattress we Tried in the Store

How is it possible that a floor model and a purchased model are so night-and-day different? The floor model was a dream. We’ve now had our mattress for four nights and they’re the worst I’ve slept in years. I wish I had my old mattress (and several thousand dollars) back. If you’re looking at this mattress, please look elsewhere!

Hello And thank you for your review! The bed in store has had many months to break in, yours in the home will be firmer than the one inside the store. Once you break in the mattress, it will feel just like the store. Compare it to a brand new pair of shoes, not always as comfortable as when you wear them a few times.

I appreciate the “official” response as it is what we’ve heard from the retailer. But I’m skeptical as this doesn’t seem like my experience with any other mattress I’ve owned. The pillow top is extremely compressed. Will it ever fluff up? Or is this just how it is?

There is no pillow top with the Olivia firm, however the tufting will pre-compress all foams inside the mattress which is what is making the bed firmer. This could be the tightness you are noticing, if you'd like one of our team members to take a peak please send photos to info [at] springair [dot] com.

That’s surprising - the model in the store was so comfortable and plush that I assumed it was a pillow top. I will be exchanging this model as soon as I’m able - it’s the worst sleep I’ve gotten since I had a newborn. Still can’t believe his is the same mattress.

In the title on the bed you are reviewing is the “Olivia luxury firm” - we have an Olivia Plush pillow-top that you may of wanted which is exactly how your describing a soft puffy pillow top. Please get back to the store rep and let them know they ordered you the incorrect mattress

It would have helped a lot if the salesperson actually knew how to fit sleepers to beds based upon their demographic and preferences. I bought this mattress because it was the best quality and comfort that I could afford. @ $3,500 I had higher expectations. It’s a good mattress, but unfortunately not the best for my body type and sleeping position. I am 6’ 1’’ 216 lbs, but have broad shoulders. I needed a bed with more give to get me to the best comfortable position. I’ve found that I enjoy the feel when I first go to bed, but not after sleeping. I also find that as I sleep alone in the middle it becomes somewhat compressed and much less comfortable as the night goes on. This seems odd to me. I’m not super thrilled about the quality of my sleep, and that was the whole goal. This mattress is too firm and creates uncomfortable pressure points in my back, side and hips. It’s likely that I would have benefited from the softer Plush version, but no one asked me or evaluated my sleeping posture or characteristics. This bed will end up in the guest room. It’s a lot of money for a bed that won’t be used very much.
