A Mattress You Can Feel Good About

We had a 10 year old Serta that had collapsed in places - we felt like we were sleeping in hammocks. After shopping at 7 stores and lying on dozens of mattresses, we found the Chatham & Wells "Hamilton" at a local Mattress Pro. It is perfect -- really firm and luxurious, and we were really pleased to know it's made in California with high quality materials. It even came with a packet of lavender seeds! Oh, and we got it on sale for half what our next choice would have cost us. Will check back after 6 months but our first few nights on this mattress have been wonderful!

Wondering how your Hamilton is feeling after a month? We just bought the Chatham & wells revere euro top and are not happy. We tried many beds over a few week period and I kept coming back to this one. I am a side sleeper and have hip and shoulder pain from our too firm tempurpedic mattress. As the sales guy suggested, i tried this bed laying on my sore side in store for 30 minutes, to see if I felt pain. I was so happy, no pain and excited to have my new bed delivered. As soon as delivery guys left, I layed down and knew immediately the bed delivered was way to firm. I thought they must have delivered the wrong bed, but sadly no. We have had the bed for 4 nights now and my sleep and pain are not improving. I'm still trying to contact the manager at store, but they are giving me the run around. Why do they bother having people lay on demo beds if the bed that's delivery is so dramatically different. It's going to cost us $600 to exchange this bed, which I would not have to do, if they sent a bed that felt the same as in the show room. The bed seems to be build very well, but only if you like very firm beds. I hope you are resting soundly in your bed. I can't wait to get my bed dilemma resolved so I can get a good nights sleep.

This sounds exactly like my experience when they delivered the Chatham and Wells Hamilton Lux Pillow top. I thought they had delivered the wrong bed because it felt so much firmer than the one I laid down on in the store. I read online that it takes a couple of weeks to break in and it will become a little softer. I also called the store and when I told him the bed seemed so firm the way he answered it was obvious he had heard this before and said the exact same thing that I had read online. He said to speed it up you can get on all fours and just move around the bed a little bit. I haven’t done that but the bed is seeming more comfortable as the nights go by and I really like it. And also I guess I just didn’t realize how worn my old mattress was.
