We have a split king on an adjustable base. We think it was a good purchase, but not a great purchase. The mattresses are about 13 years old (Jul 2020). I had to have the material on the bottom of the mattress replaced as it wasn't much more than a heavy paper and it failed within about 5-7 years. It then wouldn't hold the mattress together. I took them to a local upholstery shop and had them fixed.
The side foam isn't standing up.
Also, the pump controller display started to fail within 6 years. Some of the LED elements failed to light. It eventually got to where most had failed and you couldn't determine the pressure. We replaced the pump/controllers with an off brand, that works better than the original. We're now looking for complete mattress replacement units.

I had a 5000 sleep number my hubby unfortunately passed away In the bed I bought about her one and this bed has been a total nightmare already had to have the air chamber replace one of the mattresses and still not happy wake up every day with pain. I pay monthly on the bed but I don’t want it I have been sleeping on an awesome airmatress every night have no pai at all when waking up. What can I do about this defective bed. Please help I have never had an issue with sleep number

Hands down the best purchase I have ever made for my home and well being. Started with a waterbed replacement so I could keep the frame...Then moved into Full King Size 5000 series and now, getting an Split Top I7 with the adjustable base do help the medical conifitions of my wife and assist her getting in/out of bed do to increasing health problems including Myotonic MD type 2 where her mobility is limited.

I LOVE this bed. Got it for guest room & started sleeping on it instead of my Craftmatic bed. Wish I could find a queen for my own room. Practically eliminated my normal morning "pain over." My lower back is fused & this is the first time I have been pain free in the morning since my original injuries....& I got this mattress at a local Hospice Thrift Store for less than $150.00!!

It's terrible. There is a lump in the middle andwe have one pump that went out. It's like sleeping in a hole. Talk about a backache! You can only sleep in one little spot because you can feel the outside frame all around. Then you have this big pump and wires all over. I woujld never buy this again.
