Great store, but one truly subpar employee to AVOID

We bought our mattress on 9/18/10 from Diana, the store manager. Diana was nice, helpful, and helped us find a mattress for our guest room that fit our budget. The mattress arrived that Monday or Tuesday (9/20 or 9/21).

We went to pickup the mattress on 9/25/10 at 7:05 p.m. The employee working there that night was Javon. Javon finished helping one family in front of us. We told him we were here to pick up our mattress, and our name. To which he responded that the store was closed. Confused, as we were standing in the middle of the store and not having an out of body experience, he elaborated that he should have locked the door while finishing up with the family before us. He kindly asked if we coudl return tomorrow. Inconvenient as that was, yes, we could do that.

We came back the next day to find out that not only does the store stay open until 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays, but Javon had sold our mattress earlier in the day to someone else. As it also turns out, Javon is a related to someone within the company higher up.

Diana has made it right. We're receiving our mattress delivered to the house free of charge.

I am just FLOORED by how unprofessional and downright WEASELY one person can be. So you sold our mattress to someone else. Fine, whatever. He had a whole hour to make that right for us (a ten minute venture), but instead lied to our faces. If I see this kid again, there no guarantee I will not verbally abuse him for being so worthless. I am certain - in this economy - there are FAR better and honest employees to be had.

I only wish I could rate the salespeople seperately on this site. Diana deserves five stars, while Javon deserves none.

I recommend this store with the caveat that NO ONE should interact with this young man.
