“Worst Mattress EVER!”

Pros:

Cons:
Sagging, Body Indents, No Support, Breaks down inside. Terrible Customer Service on the Warranty.

This review is based on the Stress-O-Pedic Chateau Series Latex Bed sold to us with the Liggett & Platt adjustable foundation. The adjustable foundation is WONDERFUL...we are keeping that. The Stress-O-Pedic Mattress is the problem and this review is based on that only.

We were told this bed was a total rival for a Tempurpedic type of bed. We were also told that the Latex was a better way to go. NOT SO!

Within 3 months it sagged so badly, you'd fall out of bed if you were anywhere near the edge. The center developed a HUGE lump inbetween us. We both woke up throughout the night to try and get comfortable. By morning, we couldn't wait to get out of bed because our backs and legs hurt so badly! We were actually more comfortable sleeping on the couch!

They took the bed back once and just filled it more, but within another month of getting it back, it did the same thing. Everyone that saw the bed could not believe how bad it was.

I called again for someone to come out and see what they can do for me. They said they will send a third party company out to do an inspection of it. When the third party company called, they offered to come out on either the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Years Eve, as they work a regular full time job and have to do this on their off time. So, I'm supposed to sit here waiting for another 2 months until they can come out mid January??? No. I'm done with Stress-O-Pedic! This is the worst bed ever! After reading other reviews, we decided not to keep fighting with them to make it right. I don't consider this a fair warranty.

We went out and finally purchased a Tempurpedic Bed and we should have done that from the beginning! We sleep well all night and we wake up refreshed in the morning! No more backaches or leg problems! It's the BEST!

Lesson learned....don't try to shortcut....buy the best one from the beginning! The Stress-O-Pedic is going to the dump today! Can't wait for the truck to get here!

Lesson Learned!

Pros:
Was comfortable at the beginning....
Cons:
Bed is sagging in the middle.

After only 4 months of use this mattress is already sagging in the middle. I am not a big guy or a heavy guy and was very surprised about the sagging. I have even tried to sleep near the edges of the bed, but the slope that has already developed causes me to migrate to the middle. The pull of the slope now makes the bed uncomfortable. I am writing the company to see about a replacement. At first I really liked the bed as it was very comfortable. But I would hope and expect that it would have lasted for years before sagging in the middle!!

“Spectacular Matress”

Pros:
Aerus allows air to flow through the material. That means both heat and moisture dissipate quickly to preserve optimal comfort.
Cons:
The depth of the mattress. A short box-spring was an absolute must. Our bed is still higher than most.

I am not an impulse shopper when it comes to larger purchases. We tried every mattress at "Mattress Discounters" & "Sleep Train" . We also tried a friends "Sleep Number" mattress finding that it really was a glorified air-mattress.

Haven taken our time and done our research we are overjoyed with our mattress. We've had it for at least six months and have yet to have a complaint.

I've seen some other reviews claiming issues with this manufacture and the breakdown of the foam leaving an outline or indentation where people slept and I just have not seen that issue. Not being a light weight I just can't imagine what these other customers weigh or maybe they just ended up with the one in a million defects.

Best of luck finding something within your budget that you love as much as I love this mattress!

“My dream Mattress!”

Pros:
Soft and supportive. Came with a 15 year non pro rated warranty.
Cons:
Really tall! If you don't like tall beds you might want to order it with shorter box springs. You also might not want to get out of bed!

My wife and I just recently purchased a king size Stress-O-Pedic Rhapsody Pillow Top mattress from Sleep Source in Scottsdale Arizona and its the most comfortable mattress weI have ever slept on! It's soft but very supportive and the quality is much better then our Sealy we previously owned. We were a little nervious about spending $1400 on a new mattress but it was well worth it! We need a bed for our second bedroom and we will be going back to get another Stress-O-Pedic! The Manager Mark was very friendly and professional. He made us feel comfortable the minute we walked in the store.

“Stress o Pedic is bad”

Pros:
Looks good
Cons:
Expensive for a non name brand

We purchased the Chateau Cashmere on the third try from the Stress O Pedic company. The first 2 mattresses were horrible and had body impressions on the first 3 days.
We couldn't return the mattress for a refund as they let us exchange it twice. The Chateau Cashmere was pretty good the first year but now after exactly TWO years there are body impressions in the Euro Pillow top that are giving me backaches. We were told that the Euro Top wouldn't develop body impressions like a regular pillowtop..

I wanted to buy a Latex mattress at the time we bought the SOP but none of the local dealers carried latex. So now I am in the market for a Talalay Latex mattress but I see that Strearns and Foster and Sealy both use Synthetic Latex and Englander is the only brand I can find that uses Natural Latex. Does anybody have any suggestions ?? I live in Ventura county, CA.
