It's a very comfortable, firm bed. We've had it for 15 years and it is still as firm as it was then.

I believe beds were made more durable and with better quality products. I have an 8 year old bed from SIMMONS BEAUTY REST, that is now indenting on each side, with the middle very high. Bed was used approximately four years when this started happening.

My reasoning tells me that as time progresses companies are trying to sell the same brand name furniture with much poorer components, to increase $$$ their sales revenue without lowering prices. Furniture lasted forever back when, now this new stuff is really bad.quality at the same high, or higher, prices

this mattress(stewart ridge) was not sold 15 years ago. mattresses of 15 years ago were two sided, these mattresses are one sided - very poor design - I only hope the warranty service gets better, and easier, it took 2 years to finally get a replacement for the martingale firm- the replacement is the stewart ridge which doesnt review well!
