My husband and I purchased our first Stearn's & Foster mattress two years ago for $975.00. The foam "no roll" sides of the mattress began to bulge out before we even made it a year. Sleepy's sent a mattress inspector and we received a credit for the FULL amount at the Sleepy's store. Feb 2012 we went to replace the DEFECTIVE mattress and were told they no longer make that model we would have to upgrade and pay additional money. So another $300.00 we upgraded to a Stearn's & Foster Luxury Plush model, great it was comfortable and we loved it, fast forward to March 2013, the "No Roll" foam side is bulging AGAIN! We called Sleepy's and the mattress inspector came, who by the way said that the bulge was bad (Said during the inspection). The inspector said he would expedite our report and that the warranty would cover the defect. One week later and still no letter so we stopped into a Sleepy's store and the salesperson had to call the Sleepy's customer service who told him that the damage wasn't enough for a replacement oh but they would offer us a partial credit of $600.00. The salesman (without telling us this) told them this wasn't satisfactory so then the person (on the phone) went to the "supervisor" and they would offer us a credit for $1007.00 which covers 80% of the mattress. The salesman then explained how he "fought" for us and how he persuaded them to give us this amount, telling us that this was 80% and we should pretend that we rented our current mattress for a year for the lost money! Oh and the salesman then tried to pressure us into accepting the partial credit and he would personally give us a great discount on a better model and possibly credit us the shipping fee. Or I could wait 60 days and get another inspection, on a mattress that by their own math only 20% of our mattress is still good. But there is no guarantee that this credit will still be offered in 60 days. What has really made me angry is that the $252.00 I have lost is dismissed. I don't know about anyone else but I don't have extra money to lose any amount. How can Sleepy's justify saying that 80% of the mattress is replaceable but not all of it? This is clearly a mattress DEFECT not a sag or caused by improper support. I wonder how much of a markup Sleepy's is passing onto customers if the salesperson can afford to give us such a great discount and other offers. A mattress is very expensive at a time when extra cash is hard to spare, as a customer I expect the warranty that I was told would cover all DEFECTS to be honored in full. I was fully prepared at the possibility of spending additional money for the new mattress, but not spending more money because I only received a partial credit. Now I guess I have to wait 60 days and hopefully not fall off the bed when I roll off the sagging side, I might get 80% hurt and the doctor might only fix me 20%.
The mattress are higher priced. The matress we purchased went on sale less than a week after we
purchased at $150 less. The manager would not provide us the discounted rate.
Do not buy from this store. I strongly recommend Jordens.

We went out on a mission to buy and have delivered a Mattress set TODAY. I made it very clear I was not interested in waiting a week or 2 for delivery. Hence their add.."SAME DAY DELIVERY" Their product is not cheap 3k or more so we gave the 1st sales girl our price. We are both in sales so I made it clear I was not interested in negotiating or the back and forth game all day. We had a price, cash and time frame "period". First she showed us a bed over 10k....so I redirected her..."once again here is our price here is our cash and we want this today. after countless minutes of her typing in the computer she could not help us and let us walk out the door. We went to the Sleepys down the Road (Egg Harbor Rd). AMAZING we got exactly what we wanted and delivered. :) Thank YOU!!!!
Next time I'm calling 1800Mattress for a new bed. Sleepy's was very helpful and wonderful in selling me a bed but now they are discourtesies, unhelpful and unresponsive in resolving a problem with my new mattress. After one month the mattress has begun to visibly sink in the area I sleep on it. The store says they can offer me no support or assistance and I have to call the 800 number. On the telephone I have had 4 representatives drop my call "by accident". After explaining my problem and requesting a replacement they have explained that nothing can be done until an outside agency comes and inspects the mattress. I now have to wait for this 3rd party inspection company to call me to set the appointment. Sleepy's provides no information on who or how to contact this inspection company - I am just supposed to wait. Finally I spoke to a representative that said the 3rd party coming into my home to inspect the 1 month old bed is called Mattress Marshals. See the terrible reviews this company gets online - Mattress Marshals has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau! I don't even want to deal with them or have them in my home but Sleepy's refuses to deal with this case. When I purchased from Sleepy's they never mentioned that I would have to deal with a terrible company like Mattress Marshals if I had any problems. This is terrible customer support and a huge rip off.
It was clear that the salespeople were pushing the more expensive mattresses...the salesman was inappropriately friendly and aggressive to sell the expensive type, even thoughI made it clear that I didn't want it...he took off when he knew I wasn't interested in the expensive brand...not to go to another customer, but to his sales buddies!
Customer service is like getting water from a stone. My mattress calapsed in less than six (6) month and they would not warrantee it. After weeks of arguing I secured a full refund. It's been three weeks since they took the mattress back and I have not received my money yet. Run. Don't walk away Sleepys. Go to your local family owned store.

Just a warning, go elsewhere! We purchased a mattress from Sleepy’s March 22, 2010. The salesmen will “wine and dine” you; they say they are professional; but do they know much about their product? Do they stand behind their product? I fear not.
We purchased a Stern’s and Foster, Premium Queen with box spring for a total of $1,953.12. As you can see we went for the top of the line for quality. They say you get what you pay for, not in this case. This mattress came with a 10 year warranty. (Try to collect on that.)
We experienced sagging, body impressions, lumps-- we had waves going horizontally as well as vertically. I called several times but was informed I must be HOME with the mattress. I had all my information, (such as serial numbers, dates, brand names, etc.) but that was the rule, you must be home with the product.
My complaint was accepted, but now I had to wait another two weeks for someone to call me with an appointment date. Finally, the big day was coming-- November 1, 2011. The gentleman came at 8:00AM so I didn’t have to take off more than an hour from work. He took pictures and examined the mattress all in complete silence; he wouldn’t exchange a word with me. (Not getting a good feeling…) He told me I would be hearing from them within a week to 10 days.
Finally the verdict was in, it was not replaceable. It did not meet their standards for a replacement. I was distraught and in pain by now, not only psychologically but we were physically suffering more and more each day from the poor condition of the mattress……what a nightmare!
Go anywhere else, please do yourself a favor. Do not go to the “Mattress Professionals” – (NOT)
Sleepy's had a two day sale that was 60-80% off. I bought a Sealy Posturepedic Mohican Firm/ boxspring with an original price of $1759.99 ended up paying $579.99! Had delivery window of 12-4 on a Saturday, somebody called on Wednesday and then again on Friday to confirm, truck arrived around 2pm Saturday with two very friendly courteous drivers. Thanks for smooth and pleasant shopping esperience Sleepy's!
The store Should Not Sell Products That Fail A Year Or So After Purchase. Don't Sell Customers A Mattress That You Know Will Fail. You Now What That Means. Retail Stores I Think Are Destin To Fail Do To The Fact That They Do Not Honor Any Tipe Of Warranty Anymore. I Am Not A Great Fan Of Super Stores But They Do Honor Warranty...
We has problems every step of the way with Sleepys. From the sales people not being able to give us a final price from the delivery company refusing to take there shoes off to step inside our new house. Our mattress set began to deform in less the a month and we called the store,they said its a "comfort" issue.We said no,its a structural issue we were passed around all over the place until they said to call the the manufacturer. But I want people to know how FREAKING RUDE AND JERKISH the the people in customer service were. From the second they answered my call there was just this attitude that was very disrespectful. I can't tell you how bad it was but we were floored. Long story short we got another set,it did the same thing so we went somewhere else to start over. If all you want is price and think you can' have problems (which you will,Sleepys is like Wal Mart,sets are made JUST for their stores with lower performance which helps them sell cheaper) I would say think again.
