Purchased 2 twin XL sets & one Twin Mattress (only)........ Okay, here's the scoop from my perspective:
The first twin XL set was purchased in June 2011 and delivered to a college kid's first apt. It has been moved three times (apt 1 to apt 2 and back to mom's for storage) - this set is in great condition and we have no complaints regarding it.
The second twin XL set was purchased mid-Jan 2012 and delivered to my home. By the time Jan 2013 rolled around, I was getting worried. It is now June 2013 and the mattress has such definite sagging that is obvious even when the bed is made. So, obviously, I'm not happy with this set and am attempting to see if they will replace it or give me a partial credit towards another bed or something else in the store. The box spring even seems to give a bit when he is laying on the bed, but the mattress is like a soggy sponge.
The twin regular mattress (Nov 2012) went onto a platform bed and is fantastic. In fact the kid who had the second (bad) set, relocated to this room and the platform bed in Nov. 2012 because he really doesn't like the set that he choose that was purchased in Jan. 2012. <I was just going to toss it, but I've decided to let them examine the set before making a decision.>
I need to have a queen set delivered as a graduation (from college) gift and I was also thinking of replacing an existing queen set in my home, but as of now, I'm waiting to see how they handle the problem with the bad set before I commit one way or the other to any more purchases from this company.
Just food for thought before you make a buying decision......or 3 like I did!
These guys are a big zero. They will not back the factory warranty, I cannot even get them to return my call. They are like white on rice when you go looking but try finding them when you have a problem, and you WILL. Paying close to $2500 doesn't mean a thing. Either does the 25 year warranty. I will tell everyone I know not to patronize such a racket. I have always honored my word which is a foreign concept to this bunch. Stick with a department store not a mattress store. When all is said and done I should have had my mattress' custom made. There is nothing worse than a bad night sleep, oh except when you have paid a lot of money for it.
I moved recently and I had to ring along a bed with a frame that collapses and a mattress that sags. This is the third bed I've had from Mancini's and all three sagged after a very short time. I have to say that the first two were exchanged pretty easily. After the 3rd bum mattress I asked if I could just get rid of the bed because I wasn't willing to take my chances on a 4th. I was told absolutely not, exchange or nothing. Now I'm desperately trying to get rid of this mattress that I may never use. Please take a LOT of time and do lots of research before buying at Mancini's. I'm regretting my impulsiveness to the tune of $2,500. P.S. It just so happened that I was talking to my brother a few days after dealing with Mancini's and hadn't mentioned my story; my brother just happened to say that he and his girlfriend were in the process of trying to replace their bed from Mancini's that had sagged and collapsed.
Because mattress shopping is so painful, I called to order a second kid's mattress like the one I bought from them a year before. They complied but failed shipped me a private label mattress from an unknown brand. When I called them to complain, they didn't think they needed to tell me that they had switched from Serta to no-name brand for their private label kids line. When I told them the transaction felt to me like a bait-and-switch operation, the manager told me that the sale rep in question would never compromise his integrity for such a small transaction. Presumably, they try to keep the lying to transactions over $1,000!
