DO NOT, and I can’t repeat this enough, DO NOT go to Ashley’s for anything at all. They are very friendly while you are thinking about buying their crapy furniture but when you wait 2 to 4 months for delivery, (and it does take that long at least) they will not return phone calls and will straight up lie to your face. It has been 4 months since I ordered my bed and I called today and was told it has just been ordered. I am looking at 6 to 8 months before I will receive my order. I called customer service and when I asked to speak with someone about having the order canceled, I was put on hold until the call cut off. This happened 3 times in one day, not a coincidence. The store in Hobbs New Mexico and the one in Lubbock Texas are the worst in the world. I have never hear anything good about them. You WILL regret it if you buy from there.
We purchased a Simmons mattress from Ashley Furniture in November 2012. Within a month, we started to realize we were sinking into our sides because it was caving in. We finally decided we needed to contact Ashley Furniture about it. In March 2013, we got a replacement mattress (same brand, because they claimed it was just a faulty mattress). Within one month, it started caving in just as the first one did. I chose that mattress because it felt great to lie on when we selected it, and I am waking up in pain every day from it now because my body is sinking into the mattress. Simmons offers a horrible quality mattress, and it's unfortunate that Ashley Furniture sells that brand. I was amazed (and not in a good way) when the guys who came the measure how deep the mattress was sinking in, and before he even saw the mattress, he said "I bet this is Simmons." That is never a good sign coming from someone who deals with mattresses for a living.
My wife and I went to purchase a couch at the Ashley Furniture store at 14270 Smoketown Road, Woddbridge, VA 22192. Item was not in stock so we have not received any merchandise. We we’re informed of the back-order only after being charged. We called the next day to cancel the order with the manager and he said they will not give a refund even though we have not received anything nor do they carry it. He wanted to charge us 30% as a “restocking” fee for something they don’t even have in stock, and are holding my entire funds hostage since they won’t refund any of it. At no point in time did the sales person notify us of store policies during the purchase. We contacted the store within 24 hours of initial purchase, the store manager by email, who replied at first several days later, but has since then stopped responding to any emails. I should not have to go through all this hassle just to get my money back for something I never received nor do I no longer want. This is no way for a business to treat customers.
Delivery men came. Were mad my mattress and rails were "in the way". No one at the store told me it's Ashley's policy "to have things out of the way". Excuse me I bought the mattress FROM you too that day. Coulda told me then. So of the two men, one offered to help me move it. The rail fell apart as we moved it (also slicing the knuckle open and breaking my finger). My neighbors were there after I called them for help. I still can not close my finger all the way and may require surgery. THEN THEY DELIVERED THE WRONG FURNITURE SET (it was similar). So they wasted MY WHOLE SATURDAY. And brought me my furniture they delivered elsewhere all fingerprinted up. My husband was working and the delivery man put me on his cell phone with customer service. WOULD I GIVE A BAD REVIEW with him standing angrily in my house, and jeopordize his job and risk my safety!? NO. I went to Ashley's Furniture yesterday to speak to a manager? Guess what they got their money and they don't give a f*ck about my finger. SCREW THEM! I am considering a law suit. Not worth the $ they charge even though it's pretty furniture.
I built a new house and needed new furniture. I went to several different furniture stores and when i went to Ashley Furniture and seen the selection they had I knew this was the place I was going to buy. I met with a very friendly and helpful salesman by the name of Jimmy Vu. We told him what we were looking for and he helped us find the right match. I recommend everyone to go to Ashley Furniture in Champaign, IL for a great all around selection and friendly environment. A+++++++++++
I bought furniture and a mattress here in Feb 2011 and we have had problems with it from the beginning. The mattress is a memory foam and in just a couple of months shows the dents where we sleep. I'm sure it won't last us a year and we paid over $900 for it. The salesperson was nice but we are getting no satisfaction at all with regard to the mattress. The living room furniture is supposed to be durapella that is supposed to be more durable and forgiving, but we have already gotten stains that won't come out. I think they completely "over stated" the quality of the product for the price.
I purchased almost $7k of furniture when we moved to the area. After a few months of use, springs and cushions sag and become very low to the ground. The mattress I purchased was a sealy for an higher price thinking it was better quality. After a few months, it too, lost its shape and it is like sleeping in a hole.

The people that work at this store are very deceptive! They all lie to you to get you to purchase. I waited 3 months to get my furniture that I ordered for my nine year old child, only to be told that it still was not in, and it would be at least another month, with no guarantee that it would come in then either! I was promised delivery in 4 to 6 weeks! I promptly cancelled my order when informed of this, only to be treated rudely & even hung up on by Sarah who has a real attitude & acts like she is doing you a favor by talking to you. This woman has no business being in a customer service role what so ever! Their store manager Matt Garrison refused to talk with us, and NEVER bothered to return my phone calls, not even once. I was never given a courtesy call to inform me that my furniture order would be delayed, I had to find this out myself after calling them. They changed the delivery date 3 times and never bothered to call & let me know. My 9 year was disappointed one to many times as a result of deceptive practices by the sales staff and management! The store is not even a "corporate" location and the corporate office can do little to help when you have a problem. I was promised a phone call from their regional manager as well that never came. Ashley ought to be ASHAMED for allowing this independent owner to use their business name on their product, and needs to step in & do something about their Management, customer service, and make sure that they are doing what any reputable business should! Honesty is NOT their policy! Do not shop here. It has been the most terrible furniture buying experience I have ever had! I went to Babcock today and my furniture is being delivered tomorrow. I would have rather paid more to get what my child needed when she needed it instead of being strung along for over 3 months by Ashley. They also do not answer the telephone when you call the location. Terrible, terrible business. Go elsewhere!
Ashley Furniture has horrendous customer service if you can even call it that. I bought a sofa and love-seat from them less than a year ago and it came with a tear in it. They still have not fixed the tear. My salesperson's name was Teresa Gall and she lied to me about the quality of the material that was used in the furniture. It is already falling apart and it has been less than a year. When I called to complain about the tear they tried to sell me a new sofa and love-seat.I would never buy from them again and would advise anyone to stay far away from them unless you like being lied to. There are hundreds if not thousands of negative reviews about this company all over the internet and almost every single one of them mirrors my own experience. I wish I had thought to check before I purchased but I didn't think it would be this complicated to buy furniture. I hope somebody finds this post and finds a more reputable dealer to work with. Be sure to read lots of reviews. Their customer service reps are pretty condescending too and love to insult you.
Where the building and shopping experience may appear nice, Ashley furniture as a company has no desire to please or fulfill an individual shoppers needs. Once an order has been placed, they won't absolutely follow up on that. They make no promises to deliver the item as ordered or to deliver it on time. I have waited several months (twice) for an order. Return is very problematic. So several thousand dollars may be hung up for months. Poor attitude by the sales person and management (after you've made the purchase) reflects on the companies attitude as a whole.
Won't ever shop there again and wont' recommend to anyone.
