My husband and I really loved this bed, it was very comfortable. When we were away we were always glad to come home to our very comfortable bed. However, we are replacing it after just 5 years because it hasn't lasted.
This soft, cushy matress seems just right to this Goldilocks, so overall I would recommend it. With a nice plush pillowtop, it feels like falling into a cloud.
However, after reading some of the other posts, I hope this doesn't start sagging. It is already showing some indentions after only six months of use, but it is still comfortable. I will be very sad it if sags!
It's a very comfortable, firm bed. We've had it for 15 years and it is still as firm as it was then.
Slept on this mattress for years without really thinking much about it -- which is basically all I require from a mattress.
Very firm, which is what I prefer. Midrange price and quality. A great night's sleep!
So it turns out my comfy new Serta mattress was only comfortable for two years, and has gradually been getting less and less comfortable.
No problem, I paid big bucks for the 10-year warranty, right?
Wrong. The warranty "inspection" doesn't test for the things that make a mattress servicable; ie, it doesn't test for comfort. The "inspection" seems like a sham to abet their denial of any warranty claim.
My advice: Find a different mattress company.
There is absolutely NO way to stay on this bed. Faulty deign or not 1st quality. I spend nearly every moment trying to NOT end up on the floor. Something that you would have to experience to BELIEVE! Leeds and Serta will not honor a Brand New Purchase! Buyer Beware!
I bought this mattress is AZ at a military AAFES store. It was a great mattress and slept well for about 6 months. After than the mattress began sagging on both sides. You could feel lumps in the middle 1/3 areas. I called Serta and they requested pictures and the tag information rather quickly. After submitting the information, they sent a specialist out to my home. He took measurements and laughed saying he had never seen a mattress go THAT bad before. 3 1/2" depressions, and the mattress cover itself seemed "detacted" from the internal parts. After he left, I waited a few weeks and nothing. I called Serta customer service as well as AAFES and both seemed to be clueless that I even exsisted. I provided my case number and finally was told my case was closed as non-warrantied. I was told it was because I failed to provide enough "proof of defect". I was beside myself! I asked for a supervisor and was told then that I failed to provide pictures of my mattress and they wouldn't send a specialist out until I did. I explained they had alreay BEEN out and measured. They said there qas no record of this. I had to start ALL OVER! I went through the whole process again. Meanwhile I sold my bed and was waiting for the new bed to arrive (special order) when the specialist arrived at my house. The mattress set was on the ground while awaiting the bed. The specialist immediately told me he was voiding my warranty for this. Serta required the set to be "property supported by a railing system". I showed him the pictures of the mattress set on the bed and explained that I had JUST sold it less than a week ago. He said it didn't matter - what matterd is what HE saw. So now I am shopping for a new mattress to replace it without benefit of a warranty exchange because my mattress at off a railing for 17 days - even though I had pics of it ON the bed, and the claim was made whil eit was on the rails and the first specialist failed to file correctly. Thanks Serta!
The last 2.5 years have been down hill from there!.... literally. The depressions in the bed on both my wife's side as well as mine are 2+ inches deep. We had a mattress specialist come measure and take pictures. I'm 175 lbs... an average sized person... My wife is also average sized person. The ridge running down the middle of the bed was enormous! We rotated the mattress regularly, the support structure is what Serta gave us... unforutunately, I have not had a good night sleep in years. My wife and I both seek out the living room couch rather than spend a night on a Serta Perfect Day. I would rate it a "Do Not Buy" for certain.
I can't say that the Perfect Sleeper quite lives up to the billing, but it is not bad, really. I have had mine for eight years now, and it still is quite a comfortable sleep, though I am starting to sense some sagging.
The Perfect Sleeper product line is a collection of mattresses that is manufactured by Serta.
