GoodBed reviews can now be updated!

In the past, we’ve had some situations where our users have wanted to update a review that they wrote for one reason or another. We are pleased to announce that we now have an easy to do this — any user can now easily update any review that they submit on GoodBed at any point in the future.

To do this, simply log in to your account, and then click on the “My Account” link in the footer. At the bottom of the page, you will see any reviews you have submitted, with a link to “Edit this review”. Simply click this link and you are off and running! The contents of your original review will automatically appear in editable form. For most of your review, any updates you provide will replace the original contents of your review (including star ratings). However, for context purposes, the main review field of your original review will still appear below your update — so there is no need to repeat anything from the original review.

There are lots of good reasons to update your review. For example, your experience with the product or store may have changed since the original review (eg, due to ongoing customer service you received). Or, perhaps you just now have more information than you did then (eg, more insight into product durability). In cases like these, updating your review is a quick and easy way to let other mattress shoppers know how things have worked out for you since your original review.

Mattress companies can now claim their profile on GoodBed!

We are pleased to announce a very exciting new feature on GoodBed, which is the ability for mattress manufacturers and retailers to “claim” their profiles on GoodBed.com. This feature is designed to allow mattress companies to use GoodBed as a highly targeted and effective social media channel, through which they can attract, assist and engage active mattress shoppers.  Whether you are a manufacturer, retailer or store manager, claiming your profile has many benefits, takes only a few minutes, and is completely FREE.

Some of you that are more familiar with the site may be aware that we actually began offering this service on a trial basis a few weeks ago. Over this time, we have already seen a number of businesses claim their GoodBed profiles. These early users have enabled us to continue to test and improve this functionality, so we are now encouraging more users to take advantage of it. We look forward to keeping you posted as we build upon this important new feature in the coming weeks and months.

What does it mean to claim my profile?
Claiming your profile is our way of letting you engage directly with mattress shoppers on GoodBed.  This engagement could be to answer questions, respond to reviews, provide additional information about your stores and products, offer special promotions, or otherwise.  Most of these things can be done at no cost to your business, and all of them start with claiming your profile.

What is a GoodBed profile?!?
Some of you that are newer to GoodBed may be wondering — what is a GoodBed “profile”? Profiles are the pages of our site that relate to a specific product or store. Some profile pages cover an entire mattress brand or a multi-store mattress retailer. Others relate only to a specific store location or product model. Profile pages are created automatically (and at no cost) each time we become aware of a new product or store that is not yet featured on the site.

Does my business already have a GoodBed profile?
As the most comprehensive information resource for mattress shoppers, GoodBed aims to feature information on all mattress brands and retailers. As such, we have profiles on over 1,000 different mattress brands and over 20,000 retailers and store locations. So, if your company makes or sells mattresses, chances are very good that you already have a GoodBed profile, and perhaps even multiple profile pages relating to your products or stores. And for those businesses that our editors have missed so far, we will soon be releasing tools to enable you to add your business to GoodBed directly (and of course, to claim your profile at the same time).

Best Bed Guide is now GoodBed!

I am very pleased to announce that Best Bed Guide has recently moved to its new home here at GoodBed.com! Rest assured that we have maintained all of the great information and features from Best Bed Guide, while giving the site a fresh new look and feel. This is the first of a series of important developments here at the company, so we are looking forward to keeping you informed during this exciting time.

It should also be noted that this move does not reflect any kind of change to the mission, content, services, or ownership of our company. To the contrary, we are more dedicated than ever to creating a world-class digital media brand for the mattress category. The move to GoodBed.com simply represents the next step in our evolution, as both an information resource and an advertising platform.

As part of the broader initiatives referenced above, we are also in the midst of releasing some powerful new functionality on the site. Our objective is to create more opportunities for mattress shoppers to connect directly with the companies that make and sell mattresses, especially those that are available in that shopper’s area. By facilitating these connections in an environment that is designed specifically for mattress shoppers, we aim to offer a fun and easy way for mattress shoppers to find the right products for them, while simultaneously helping reputable mattress purveyors to reach out to these consumers in a friendly and cost-effective way. We look forward to keeping you posted on these new features in the coming weeks!

Regarding links to Best Bed Guide, for the foreseeable future, all inbound links to BestBedGuide.com will automatically be redirected to their respective page on GoodBed.com. That said, we plan to continue using the Best Bed Guide name in other areas of the business, so we urge you to please update any links to our site at your earliest convenience. The only change needed is to replace “bestbedguide.com” with “goodbed.com” — all other components of every URL remain exactly the same. Updating these links will ensure that your users will have no problem reaching the appropriate pages on GoodBed.com at any point in the future.
